Making your HPS a MH

Hey guys,

So my local Hydro hobby was telling me that if i wire a switch into the igniter on my 400 HPS that i could then put a 400 MH bulb in it.

Originally i thought i could just buy a conversion bulb, but he informed me they are hard to get for that wattage.

Anyway, has anyone done this? It doesn't look too hard, but i don't want to fuck up my ballast.

you won't fuck up your ballast, adding a switch to the ignitor allows you to take the ignitor out of the circuit in your HPS which then makes it a MH......It's an easy addition to your ballast and you make it a switchable that quick and easy, but if you don't feel comfortable doing it, don't.....got any electrician friends?...have them do it for you.....

Yeah i don't' really have a problem doing it. My electrical knowledge is about medium. And learn through trial and error. But because i haven't heard about it on here, i just wanted to make sure someone wasn't just pulling my leg.
Cool thanks dude.
