Malawi clones problem after transplant. HELP.(peat pot transplant)

Hi everyone,

I'm doing a Malawi outdoor grow with 2 clones, they do fine under fluros or in the shade but as soon as any sunlight touches them they flop over like they're dead.

They were transplanted early on in the week into those peat pots. I even see a root coming out the bottom of each now.

I know you're meant to condition them but I've put them under shade outside for the last 3 days and they still do it. This is weird and not natural and any help or advice would be much appreciated. I REALLY WANT TO PUT THESE BEASTS OUT!.

Cheers,
Kiwi

Im no expert but I think it has something to do with the humidity. Try putting a clear bag or dome over them for a couple of days when putting them out, it might help.

>>>They are transpiring b/c they need to be hardened off, poor ladies are not used to all that UV exposure.

Give them small doses, then gradually increase sunlight.

Cheers!

Yeah thanks Sunbiz, I figured that last night after some research(used to starting from seeds outdoors)

I havve put them in half shade/ half sunlight and they are doing fine. They will go outside later this week when it rains for a couple days.
