IT'S A "SHIM!!!!"
so i should get rid of it. When is the right time to grow a new seedling when risk of it getting pollinated by wild hem is minimum? I was thinking to go after july then temperate here going 40c plus everything burns down. I can keep it going with daily watering.

i agree, never get rid of a plant till you know which it is, i wonder how many people got rid of a "male" that was a female starting to grow calyxes at branch junctions?

I've read that wild cannabis plants always revert to low thc without human invention.
If you think about it,a plant with dense buds covered in frost is alot more likely to rot before being able to reproduce than airy, low resin plants. So dont think just because you stuck some males in the woods that you are going to improve the wild hemp in your area, unless you plan on doing some actual work making selections.
Something I heard as a kid, "up north they grow rope. Down south we grow dope." I heard distance from the equator will have an effect on THC levels over time. I have no idea if that is a real thing or not.

i went to highschool and college just outside of fargo. i grew a lot of outside weed there, and you can grow some good shit once you figure out the schedule. i threw some seeds out behind my friends cabin one spring, (from cleaning some good but seedy columbian) and didn't go back to his cabin for 2 years. there were half a dozen plants growing behind the cabin, and they were crap. they had to come from those seeds, which were pretty good for the time, and in 2 years they turned into ditch weed.

Looks like swollen calyxes. Pick one off and split it open and I bet there is not a seed in it.

Ok everything is fu**ked.
seeded. but will keep the plants just to see whats gona happen. now my question is can I use fine mesh (3 to 4 micron) breathable fabric to protect my plant from wild hemp pollen. example image is attached. sunlight will pass and its breathable. its not a mesh its like fabric. If i dont do this other option is i will have to wait till september. I have already wasted 4 seeds in this wild hemp pollination event. A

seeds created will they be any useful or potent?

Ill be honest man personaly iv found you need a male to be reasonably close (in saying that i dont have wild hemp growing everywhere) to actually be able to produce lots of seed (i dont buy the story if theres ONE male in a 5km radius its going to seed everything).

You probably got a little sneaky wild hemp male hiding close buy somewhere or a sneaky hermmi in you patch (check lower braches in and around your pop corn buds)

Will the seeds be potent.....well really you wont tell till you grow some. The seed you got if crossed with wild hemp, will be F1 hybrids and be reasonably identical to each other (if the seed comes two parents there could be mutiple males wich means you will have some variations). I would predict these would turn out as a mid grade bud. Buttttt breed them again with each other an get F2 you will start getting different variations of phenos. You will find better quality buds amongst these, use these to continuly improve the smoke over generations to stabilize and produce your own strain.

I fully believe you could possibly manage and improve your wild hemp by bringing in some out side genetics and play around. Thats what human intervention is isnt it.

Still think you should invest in hash bags tho

A cross with hemp isn't so bad imo. All the hemp sided phenos / hemp hybrids will have high cbd. If it is truly from hemp there should be some cool phenos in there if you have the time to explore.

I had been wanting to grow skunk #1 for years. Got some fem. seeds from MSNL. About 3 weeks into flowering I noticed pollen on the lower leaves. I stayed the course and let her/him finish. Yes i have some seeded buds but the shit is trippy as hell and straight fire !! Loads n loads of trichomes and skunky as fuck. The Netherlands still has some fire.

I hope this happens to me as well.

Now thats interesting i live in a region where...hindu kush citral kush are local strains wild hemp/cannabis plants are every where but they never go to the budding stage as there are so many males around here. We local use the leaves of hemp for local drink call...baang or just grind the leaves to create different variations. i dont think cross will be that weak. but wanted to smoke some western stuff which keeps me going during day time. Suffering from crazy depression. Will grow some of these seed in late august or sep.

but guys no one commented on my those micro mesh bags plans. Will it work i have seen loads of images on the internet where farmers are using these in different vegetables to avoid cross-pollination so i am hopefull i will take it off for few minutes to get fresh air in plus fabric is breathable anyway?

seems excessive to me, but if you use them, do not remove them. thats defeating the whole purpose of getting them. leave them in place the whole grow. if you have to remove them, try to do it immediately after a rain.

How much wild hemp surrounds you? Seems like it would be easier to just spend a day walking around killing the males nearby. My concern with using mesh bags is that its going to create stagnant air and cause problems like powdery mildew or bud rot.

i have taken all the males out of my property. But there is a commercial fruit cultivation property next to me i cannot jump off the walls and go there.
yes stagnant is issue but fabric will be breatable and i will take off the cover once every 2 or 3 days to water the plants for fe minutes. I am thinking to make a large box cover which will be put on steel frame. all will be on the plastic pallet. so air can go from bottom as well but pallet will have a same fabric bottom cover. Only thing im worried is temperature, they might not just survive the heat with all that covering. In my region may june july will go around 40 to 44C thats hot. i have planted a new seedling of trainwreck right now at the same place just where other four plants were lets see what happens with it. if it get seeded as well then i just wait it august end to start some fems or autos. Winter is not that extreme here. Till November its ok. doest go below 10C at night.
