Male or Female?

Hey guys, so it's my second time growing, and I've had some help. I started about 6 up in February, just putting them in a windowsill to get sunlight in the day and at night had em under some CFLs. Now they're under HPS and Flourescents. The growing space is small and we're all kind of freaking out that 'the big one' might be male.
It's beginning to get more leaves where the stalk and leaf meet, and we're not sure if they're just going to be more leaves, or buds, or the male buds with the seeds. If anyone has any knowledge of this please check out the pics. We don't want to put it in our room if it's male, but if it's female we don't want to deprive it of light....

If anyone knows whether these are leaves, male buds, or female buds, please let me know!

You wont be able to tell for a few more weeks when/if you get some preflowers. what you have there are just new shoots growing. just wait a few and keep checking.
