Male vs. Female

I planted a few seeds in my garden in late april. One has sprouted now and is about 8-10 inches tall. Is this enough to tell if the plant is male or female? It looks like there are pistils where the stem of the leaves meet the main stem of the plant. Does this mean the plant is female? Since I only have 1 plant do I don't have to worry about removing any males? Or will my female plant start to produce male flowers as well? I am a long time smoker but first time grower so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

hairs on the nodes means its a girl but if you see balls it's a man baby. if your plant develops balls with the hairs it's a hermaphrodite and since you only have one plant i'd grow it anyway. seeds suck.

Hmm man growing one plant isn´t recomended cause if you gonna have a male....all your trouble was for nuttin´
If ya have a female it ain´t gonna produce male flowers...you are cool than....now I think it is too early to say when your plant is only 10inch tall but I can be wrong pics would be really hlpfull.....male flowers - balls when they open they look like bananas....females - diffrent balls with 1-2 hairs commin´ out....I hope I hlped here are some good pics.... :peace:PEACE:peace:

awesome! thanks for all the help. i just planted some seeds for fun and was suprised when one actually sprouted. i work with plants a lot and it looks rather healthy on that regard. from what i can see it is a female plant. now i just hope it doesnt turn into a female-male plant. Is it possible to transplant the plant to a new location by digging out all of the soil around it? my location isn't the best right now and i would be much more confident if i could move it elsewhere. thanks again for all the help!

You can move it with out problems. Just make sure you dig far enough around not to damage roots. Good luck...
