Malted Barley substitute?

So, in general, Cootz mix is deficient in micronutrients with or without kelp, that's why Cootz was always recommending tm-7. You could use any micronutrient pack instead of tm-7 and you don't need much-foliar once every couple of weeks is fine. I don't think kelp is crucial, like MBP or anything else, it's just a nice amendment with added bonuses. I think you could easily replace kelp with alfalfa, but in that case you would need to let the soil sit for a month or so before using it. A big reason cootz used the specific amendments that he does is to avoid having to "cook" the soil.
 
If you are in India, you should be swimming in Neem products. Also could use local crawfish/shrimps for chaitin and some TMs. If you live near lush growth, you could make ferments with the aggressively growing plants for free ferts too.
