I like to build and race remote control cars( trucks,buggies...not the toys r us ones!..lol)...I got started when a friend at work dug up an old car he had in his moms attic about 10 years ago.
I saw this thing going 35 mph in the dirt and was hooked. We started with elec...then started getting into the nitro...and going 65 mph in the dirt.
I moved into new house last year, and was robbed while moving...they got all my R/C stuff and a load of guns...basterds.
My insurance covered enough for me to replace a few guns and some tools...but I havent' had a chance to replace any R/C 's yet...I was a bricklayer and the jobsites were a great place to race these things...but over the years I invested like $10,000, so I'll never get all that back. It may sound like alot...but over a 10 year time and an average of $500 a car/buggie plus all the extras like tires, fuel, and shit that breaks everytime you race...it adds up...not to mention all the special tools and titanium up-grades...man,I'm sad now again..lol
it's a fun hobbie, lots of building, tinkering, and the up-grades and modifications are endless...you can spend $3000 on 1 truck easy...or have fun for $200 bucks.
My big hobbie now is growing.
