Today I went to family dollar and they have these big square 4 gallon pots on sale for like $3.50 so I bought 8 of them. I usually run 3g pots and have no issues but I thought these square ones would be cool because they will fit together and utilize space better. Well, I went to fill them and my normal amount of soil only filled 4 of them (they might be more like 4.5g I dunno.. anyways, not I need 2 more bags of OF and a bag of HF... $60 extra dollars of dirt.. DAMN...

Now I'm not so sure about the square pots though because 1, they'll be a pain in the ass to rotate around, U usually just spin the round ones lol. 2. I flush the round ones by sitting them inside a 5g pail and let the runoff run into the pail... how the fuck am I going to flush these??? lol..

I'll figure something out. :)

You could use square buckets from a home Improvement store, I think they have 5 gallon. Those should work could for catching runoff from the square pots.

The best money I've spent at a dollar store:

Waited a year for these to come back in stock, snagged about 5 pairs. 1$ a piece.

Being cheap isn't always a bad thing bongsmilie

recycle stuff like fan parts:

have been known to purchase children's Saucer Sleds on sale at end of winter to use as lg plant trays, sumo tech shit. recently discovered, the medium metal oscillating round Spoked Fan Blade Cover works like a charm as a tray to move @ lil ones in dixie cups, and even better for drainage! Place the converted drain tray (spoked fan blade cover) on top of 5 Gal Bucket to flush/drain indiv plants.

stump if u need something wider, drill a few holes in a saucer sled/tray in the center then place on bucket w plant and gravity will do the rest w this..
