Man it's getting hot in here, what the hell to do.................

Need to order a light by the end of the week here and a couple of concerns. How much heat will I have to be concerned with in a 2x4x7 tent, 400 watt hps, intake and exhaust fans (do I need the 6" ?). 3 plants at the most not unless I can fit more comfortable. Has anyone else had heat issue with this set-up?

Or am I gonna be better off with some type of air cooled reflector and not have to hassle with the heat problems? Though I do have the tent in the basement next to a window that might help with cooling. Thanks everyone..........................

Heat WILL be an issue. I'd get the aircooled hood now and save yourself the hassle down the road.
100% agree with this. The reflector only adds $100-ish, so go get a nice one. Better to spend the right money on this now! If it werent for the tent you could just use a single bulb with no real reflector or cooling, but with the tent, you'll need the cooling.

Basically here's what you NEED to obtain:

1.) Reservoir temperatures of around 70(f)

2.) Room temperatures at the top of your plants at about 78(f).

3.) Humidity between 40-60%.

Obtain those 3, and your air flow and cooling in the tent is perfect!

Good luck.
