. Frosty! Nice work Yankee, need a smoke report ... and I may have to get some BTB ... :p

KC :weed:
Full smoke report will be coming but I want to get all the girls harvested, dried and cured for comparison. Won't be long now! See response to EM below for a teaser. Thanks for the kind words KC!

nice job yank! Can't wait for the smoke report. The BTB looks like it should be tasty after it cures out.
I should have some hashberry in flower by now but I lost the whole pack to damping off a few weeks ago. Haven't had that in years but it snuck in somehow. That'll teach me to be more thorough won't it? It would have been my first Mandala but I still have several of their strains including the BTB.
I have been dipping into the harvests from the first two BTBs and can give you a little teaser: taste is ok, smell and bag appeal is great and the high is a monster! The Hashberry is peppery and earthy in taste and offers a very pleasant high with a few hits off of the pipe. A few more hits and that high quickly turns into a deep stone and a few more and your in narco country! Very versatile!

Sorry to hear about your Hashberry tragedy, that sucks man. I would recommend getting those BTB beans going - don't think you'll be disappointed!

Looks unreal Yankee :D nice and danks the way it should ;)
Really pleased with the genetics and yields on both of these strains and have great keeper mums to add to the collection. Thanks for sharing the journey EC!

On Sunday I harvested the last of the Hashberries in flower, bringing the grow portion of this thread to a close. The Mrs had the camera over the weekend so I do not have any pre-chop pictures but here are a couple of post-trim pics for ya:

She started as a failed Mainline attempt which is why there are four main branches. With the four main and eight secondary tops I am estimating a dry yield shy of 2 zips a little lower than the other HB girls (a bit over 2 ozs each). I will post all the numbers in the coming weeks along with a detailed smoke report after the last two plants have dried.

The last of the BTBs is in jars curing and is pretty consistent in smell, density and appearance to the other BTBs. Yield wise, she was at 90.8g dry/uncured which is considerably lower than the other two BTBs but still fantastic relative to many other Sativa-doms I have grown.

Continued thanks to all who have followed along on this thread!

Awesome yank. Do you think she yielded more with the secondary tops than if you would have pruned her? I haven't trimmed too much on my NL x Skunk yet and am still hesitant to do too much. The HB looks great tho, nice and dense.

My guess is if I had trimmed the secondary growth early and consistently that yield would have been about the same. This last HB yielded only 47g as opposed to 60g for both the topped HB (The Bush) and the unmolested HB (Angel). I have a 12 headed Mainlined HB in flower now from a cutting off of Angel so I think that should eventually offer a better comparison.

Thanks KC, appreciate the feedback as always! I will get some more photos up for you guys.

BTW, too funny you should mention Durban - I have some Early Durban (Durban Poison x Skunk #1) regs germinating now!

Hi Y'all
I've been growing since my Vashon Island days in the early '70's but now I'm back in the South. I have tried 3 different batches of Durban Poison - straight sativa not hybridized. The 1st batch germinated back in mid Feb. but never came up. 2nd batch from another seed bank never even germinated. Thought they might be old seeds or have an extra thick seed coat to I used tweezers and an emery board and scratched them a bit in the edge. Nothing yet. I usually use the damp paper towel method although I did try a soak and plant ( outdoor grow) Nada. Now I'm trying the vermiculite method. I'm in growers Heaven- south Louisiana. Should be a piece of cake. All other strains are beautiful. What's with my DP?

This is the key to germination. Heat, moisture and simplicity.

Get your potting mix, which should be light in feed enough for a seedling. Water it and let it drain. Take a pencil and make a hole in the soil to the depth of the V. Put the seed in and lightly back fill. Keep in warm area not below 18 degrees, not above 30. If it begins to dry out a bit, mist it. but don't water it again. You should have a seedling in 3-7 days.
