Chopped MS3 this morning (an hour before light on), partially ..because I just wanted to see if this was the '47 day' flowering pheno

Just a quick update with some Tent pics.

After harvesting MS3 plant, I've moved the pots around a bit and really bent down the branches (to fill some of the open space).
This lets the light into the lower bud sites. Causing them to mature faster (within a couple of days, they perk up and mature).

Fresh water (no nutes) for all plants now.

MS1 is still packing on/producing white pistils.
MS2 is closest to the chop (its in the early window already). I'll probably harvest in a few days. At the mo, just checking Trics.
MS Clone, will either cut at the same time as MS2 plant. Or, leave it a few extra days (for all the pistils on the plant to turn red).

April 24th (Day 57 - from 12/12 flip)

So, continuing just feeding water to the plants. They have all started to fade now.

The lower buds on the plants, after bending down branches to expose the lower canopy, have all matured (as much as they will).
Its interesting, all the buds that didn't get direct sunlight, are more frosty than the ones that were exposed to the light.
I wonder, is that where the idea that putting plants in 48hrs+/- of darkness before chop came from?


MS1 plant - Still packing on (fattening). Less white pistils over the whole plant now. Looks to be preparing to turn its pistils red *fingers crossed*
I'm sure, this plant will also yield the most.

MS2 plant - Going to harvest it tomorrow morning (Monday - Day 58 ), before lights-on. No white pistils now (over all buds).

MS Clone plant - probably harvest it with MS2 plant. I'll check it tonight to make sure theres no new pistils.

Cut down both the MS2 plant and the MS clone plant. Before lights-on, this morning.

And so one lonely plant (MS1) is left in the tent.
I've moved her to the middle and bent the branches down more. All bud sites are now exposed to light.
I watered her today (3 litres of fresh water). She looks like she could go well into the 60's.
But, I think I might chop her in few days. There are still white pistil around, so we'll see. Just gonna watch and see.

May 1st (Day 64 - from 12/12 flip)

MS1 continues to fill out, there are a few white pistils here and there. However, I'm going to put her into 24/48 hrs of darkness at the end of lights on today. And then chop her. My goal was to find something faster flowering and tasty. 65 Days was my 'imagined' max flower time, so will cut MS1 to stay in that area. The yield looks nice though

I've test smoked the MS3 (the fast flowering pheno), at 7 days of drying and around a week in jars (just a couple of dry popcorn buds).
Nice medium+ high, the taste was pretty average (with a little Cheese taste vibe that spiced it up some).

I tried the MS2 too (after 7 days of drying only). Nice high and taste (both seemed a little better than MS3). But I guess these flavours are subjective, at this early point in the drying and curing.

Both these phenos, feel like they will benefit greatly from a cure. Which I'll do and also keep the RH quite low in the cure (aiming at 54-56RH for the cure). I think I'll hold back on judging these phenos until I work out their cure times. Again, I'm looking for 'faster'.

May 3rd (Day 66 - from 12/12 flip)

Just a quick update.

cut MS1 (after 36hrs of darkness) and placed in drying boxes
MS2, MS3 and MS clone are now curing in jars. The smells/flavours are now improving by the day

So far, I've weighed MS3+MS2 (once they were at a steady 57RH).
Total was 125grams (4.4 ounces) for MS3. Not bad, for a 28" tall plant and 52 days of flowering.

MS3 has come in at just over 100grams (3.5 ounces). 58 days flowering (fyi - all plants about the same height).
