Not gonna happen.. If you're successful in combining the 2 plants you'd almost positively get the root system of a tomato, and the vegetation of the potato.. A while back I was reading up on experiments like these, and in all cases the resultant plant assumed the path of least resistance, and avoided producing the fruit of either..Imaginaaaationnn

My dad grafted pot onto hops when I was growing up.. No bud formation, but there were some crystals (detectable amounts) on fan leaves that grew from it.. Pretty nifty, but it didn't resume the year after..
