Marijuana Flowering Questions Need Help...

Hey there,

I am growing 2 plants inside a closet and I use 2 x 40 watt Cool White CFL and 1 x 20 watt Warm White and 1 x 29 watt Warm White CFL. For the air circulation I use Bionaire Air Purifier. I've been vegging pure indica Blueberry x God Bud strain for about a month, and I started force flowering last week on March 3 2008. Now It's been 10 days into flowering but the pistils seem to grow at a slow rate. My question is :
1. Am I okay with my grow room setup and lighting setup?
2. Do you think my Warm White CFL is insufficient ? Or do you have any other input or suggestion...???
3. Can early harvesting make my indica give me a happy uplifting high rather than stoned feeling??? Or at least is there anything I can do to balance the high???

Thank you for the suggestion. However, HPS will probably be too expensive for me and I have no idea how to setup the wiring, ballast etc etc plus I don't have a proper ventilation setup to compensate the heat... Ummm will there be any other cheaper option for me to go with?

the way that you have your lights it looks like they are missing parts of the plants, try having a light in the middle and some on the outside to help give the hole plant light

Ok so a few questions.
Did u start from seed or clone?
How much money do u have to invest? The money that u save growing and not buying

If It was me and I only had a few bucks to spend I would buy a few Y adapters (2 in 1 socket) to add more cfls. I would go with a min of 4 per plant so 8 (reg 26w ect)

I started from the seed sometimes in the first week of February. I would say the vegging was pretty fast and I did not expect them to grow that fast under CFL. But I just realized that my CFL lighting setup is not sufficient for flowering. So far I have spent around $100 for everything including the seeds, pot, soil, fertilizer, light bulb ec etc.

But the Y adapters with a few more bulbs sounds good and cheap enough for me for now. Maybe sometimes in the near future when I'm not as broke as I am right now, I would spend more in setting up a much better grow room, proper ventilation, and maybe HPS system...

yea bro im using 11 cfls for flowering with mylar u shld also get sum mylar in my local hydro store it was like 25 bucs big roll an more lights with my 11 i still have streched buds witch i think cld go ether way good/bad but fater buds need lots of light an like f-zero said spread um out more but adding mylar it cld even out

having some in the middle will help them out to so that they won't strech as much

Do you have to have a warm watt cfl or will just putting it at 12-12 with sufficent cfls do the job?

right now I am using all warm CFls and they seem to love it and I just have them in veg mode

So cool white for vegetation period, and warm white for flowering period. Is that right?

yes but I am using warm for veg and flowering

if you put day light bulbs in there among your warm white, you will see that the plant will turn more toward the cool white and stand up more. plus the cool whites are a bit cooler inn heat so you may put a lot and as close to the plants as you can without burning them....
