does anyone know why marijuana produces buds, like what benifit to the plant is it ? weird question i know

it makes the plant desirable to us and we protect and keep alive and push forward the species allowing the plant to evove at a much faster rate. lol

The female produces buds to create seeds from male pollen.


Males produce their flowers to carry pollen and release it near a female.


It just so happens that female flowers get us stoned.

THC is a defense mechanism. It is meant to prevent the plant from being eaten. Ironically, it only pushes us further to consume/smoke it.

OMG wow you could've used a better comparison:neutral:. Its a plant and plants flower simple.:leaf: Because we have an awesome creator but that is a discussion that is for another part of the site. Just my 2 cents but really that's what flowers do bring us joy.;)

Not much of defence mechanism then, eh. It does work as a defence mechanism to small insects. However for larger insects, it can act as an attractant. It also attracts larger predators, we're not the only animals that like to get high. The reason cannabis does that is for nutrients. Animals will urinate on the plants. Urine contains lots of nutrients.

That's very interesting, thanks for the info. I wonder if anyone has been desperate enough to feed their plant urine? If you were to injest too much of the certain nutrient that your plant needs, your body wouldn't be able to absorb it all. Then you ph your urine and mix it with water. I would never try this lol, but I am curious if it would work.
