I think that the temp change can do things...but higher elevations give more UV exposure. Methinks that is the big deal. Clear/dry air
, there are 2 major observatories that I can see from my house. I live at 4000ft

thx for the info guys, I think i'll buy 10 regular super silver hazes and try em out this season thinking of planting them in May and making some seeds as well for the future, I can easily get my hands on animal fertilizer and i'm going to use tab water, hopefully that will be enough with the long amounts of sun time here, and maybe shade them during really hot days

I dont know what animal fertilizer is but please dont use that on your plants...I use fresh coconut water and fresh aloe vera and fish emulsion at times along with tap water which I aerate with a couple airstones.

speaking of hybrids and Hawaiian

got a few from a friend from there. One is a local strain. Looks like pure indica.. Another is a hybrid. Indica heavy
I was surprised by now big/fast the pure indica got in a 12/12...Bigger than th hybrid. We will see how it runs "long season"...I can do that here.
and then there is MalawiGold. Pure sativa..Equatorial sativa. You might get grey hair waitng for this one. I had a friend pull one at 150day of 12/12...said enough. needed the space. Some sats are very photosenstive and will not get any size. I was gifted some Herijuana for that reason.
yea, i love Indica's as well, they are so easy to handle and the harvest is bountiful. Heard of Malawi Gold and have researched it a bit, potent momma that one, :-) Awww, Herijuana, a fav strain. My Uncle is sending me some Girl Scouts Cookies (platinum) from Cali and it should be here soon, so stoked!

This past summer I grew Bubba And Master Kush outside in So. Cal. I am about half way between LA and Palm Springs.. Normal summer temp highs are 92-98 each day and I have seen 113 in past years..

Both kush did fine outside in a raised bed in full sun all day, yes I had to water them everyday but no problem with heat..

I remember when it use to rock 3 digits for june, july and august. it's been about 4 or 5 years since I seen those summers for that long of time. I think we didn't even hit 110 last summer ?

we typically get 95[ish] from the end of May into Sept. ...with a few cloud during the "monsoon". Westill get 6 or 7 hours of good sun during that period.
PalmSprings---dry and hot and hot and dry. Good sun. I love hearing folks that don't baby their plants. Me, either. My girls are tough. ..or they're dead
I have strains that resist grasshoppers, tough
