Big government is bad government. Using the city electric utility to flag excessive use is unreasonable search. The tax-and-spend Democrats like Virg aren't any friends of Michigan's mmj patients.

What is the difference for a mmj patient versus a recreational afficiando in Oregon from the politicians perspective? None. Both are simply new sources of revenue.

Will you be cutting down your total wattage? Otherwise youll still use the same amount of power..sure you already know this tho lol.

Im sure, almost positive this violates a right, and wwluld be struck down in court, how high up the court ladder it would have to go tho is the question, i feel bad for the poor soul to take on that battle.

I live in Lansing. I pay my power bill to the Lansing Board of Water and Light on time every month. I used to feel I was safe here with my modest non-commercial grow. Now I don't know what to think. This entire state is looking less enticing by the day. I will not be cutting down on wattage and if someone wants to enter my home they will not be entering without a search warrant.

"Bernero said he wants council members to act swiftly on his proposed ordinance. Bernero's administration is expected to present council members a draft of the proposed ordinance on Monday night. Council's meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m. on the 10th floor of City Hall and is open to the public.

"This is something we can move forward with and act now," Bernero said.

In addition to Monday's meeting, council has two other meetings left this year: Nov. 28 and Dec. 12. The proposed ordinance would likely have to first be reviewed by council's three-member Committee on Public Safety and possibly the eight-member Planning Board before it goes to council's full body for a vote.
"

If you are in the City of Lansing, please come Monday 11-14 @ 7p.m. and voice your concerns.
Thank you.

Jeez how silly! I understand the premise of this ordinance as a safety precaution but come on! Pretty much just putting a target on your back Sterling Heights already does it where you must register your grow and have a compliance check from the city. Here comes all the b.s of course after these bills were passed.
