I am trying to make the best out of a 150 watt hps for 5 light loving plants...so, part of the growing taller is my fault...and 3 or 4 of them are durban poison...a naturally tall plant

Loookin good, nows about the time you should start lollipoppin them,
start trimmin the lower 1/4 -1/3 of the plant, leave the fan leaves, just clip
all the bullshit, you know what i'm talkin about, the shit that won't
be worth trimming.

That is too funny you just mentioned this...I was just telling a friend of mine (whom I swore I told I wasn't going to prune" that I am probably going to prune. I have never done it so I am going to do some research tonite while they are in the dark cycle and get at it tomorrow. It has gotten out of control trying to fit all that madness under a 150 watt hps. Thanks for keeping me str8...If this is someone named "Toons", that is even funnier... =)

your plants look great but look a little N deficient for day 22..... you shouldn't see yellowing leaves till final stage of flowering..... nice healthy leaves= nice healthy buds....

+rep , i'm at 25 days in, check the sig..

I hear ya....u gotta admit though, for 5 plants that have only gotten Miracle-Gro, 150 watt hps and a few cfls and have been through the abuse that comes from someone being a newbie, the leaves don't look too bad! lol...thanks very much for the compliment and rep btw. Also, I just trimmed the trees up..im so scared I have messed the growth up.

The yellow leaves I see are simply the bi product of a growing plant. Some live and some die. You're gonna lose some fans...it happens. Looks good man.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. I really hate myself now...I started pruning/lollipopping earlier and I don't know what happened...it was like a demon took over and I couldn't stop. ...I removed pretty much all the fan leaves on all of them and all kinds of other stuff besides bud. I don't know what the F got in to me. I hope I didn't screw up. Mind taking a look at some pics I am about to upload and tell me what you think? Im such an idiot....

So, I am sure you remember your first "wow, I just smoked my own pot, and that shit was killer." moment...right? Man, I probably wouldn't have pruned/lollipopped this had you not stepped in with the recommendation...dude....Not only did it work out great (I'm about to post pics so before you laugh, realize, I sorta just went Edward Scissorhands on them). I am sure I probably cut off many of the wrong things, at the wrong area, and one thing is for certain, I didn't go Stir Crazy, I went Prune Crazy. HOWEVER...if I hurt my yeild, that sucks and all, but I couldn't be happier. It never occurred to me that when I did this, I could smoke my cuttings...and my friend, I did and even the smallest tiniest led point of a pencil when a tad bit dulled, has gotten me sitting here thinking this possibly the most rewarding experience of my life, and then realizing, that was an early cutting that has me RIGHT! Dude, your comment is then, and now, very much appreciated. Tell me how to REP someone on this thing, and you got it.

When I started this grow, I did everything that would be done to them had they been growing outdoors in Durban South Africa. EVERYTHING. I never thought I would get off task and prune them. I must say at this moment, I have no regrets. Had I noticed you saying "don't cut the fan leaves" I wouldn't have, but for the most part, on the sativas I did take them off...man, stuff was shooting out of them as if they were a cut artery (which I guess they sorta are)...scared me...lol. Anyways, time will tell how things worked out in the A.M., but they were under light all day and I have security cameras that allow me to see in there to monitor, and they just seemed to smile at the lights as if to say "Here I am, rock you like a hurricane". =) Updating pics now as I become spiritually and medicinally enlightened.
