Marijuana to be Legalised for ANYONE in California

I'm on the other side of the country, but I'm rooting for Cali. The same thing happend with Concealed Carry Handguns, one state made it legal and easy for law abiding citizens with a clean record to get a permit and now there are many states that allow it. What happens it when these laws are passed the general public sees it wasn't as bad as they thought it would be and actually made things better so it passes from state to state. Anyways go Californians start getting the signatures from every one in the mental institutions, every one in comas, patients in the hospice(sp?) centers, and maybe if you have to visit the cemetary.(Just kiding that would be bad if you really tried to put in those sigs) But make sure you guys get this out there and get some signatures.

i've often wondered about this..if it ever happened here and ikinda feel that, if it's legally regulated, surely the "powers" would simply HAVE to undercut the black market other wise they'd be no product or quality control as ppl would simply use the black market cos it'd be cheaper.
just my humble 2pennies.

also there would be more of it so that would bring the value down.....hopefully having a trickle down effect on the bordering states

i thought once medical became readily available that the price would go down. nope. until lights and other supplies get cheaper it will stay the same. :)

I think the exemption from declaring income on the sale of marijuana has something to do with declaring a federally illegal form of income. That could get sticky. It seems like a way to protect growers and sellers from the feds. I dont know though.
State and federal tax laws as you know are not the same (i.e. no state income tax in Florida, Texas, etc.) but residents of those states still pay federal income taxes.

Just hope that the fed's will be happy just taxing the income that gets reported and not chasing down private, small growers. If legalized in Cali, look for big commercial and other unwanted operations to come in and try to corner the market.

This may be bad since they are in it purely for the profit and you may grow just because you like to grow your favorite strain and have pride in the quality of your smoke. And, oh yeah, sell a little every now and then because you're tired of letting your friends sample it all of the time. And how else can you have someone else appreciate your grow. Not these guys. It'll be all about the mighty (not as mighty as it used to be) $dollar$.

I'm afraid that this could turn into a free-for-all in Cali and fail and prove "THEM" right that Marijuana is a dangerous drug that attracts other illegal activities.
