6X6 though is definitely best done by building your own fixtures. They take a lot more light than your average 4X4.
16sq ft compared to 36. Over double.

Ya he has another thread about this topic, i said the same as you, covering a 6x6 with pre builts wont e cheap unless you do it diy, then you can achieve proper coverage for a decent price.

Even if I don't plan on using every inch of the tent?
Well how much of the tent do you plan to use? if you tell us 6x6, were trying to max out a 6x6 for you

if your only gonna use 4x6 of the tent, that changes things drastically

How Big do you want your canopy? A 4X4 canopy inside a 6X6, is actually Fucking so dope. It's really cool looking when it gets filled out. You can get inside your tent and zip yourself in. Very cool. Lots of room.
Easy harvests.
If you only do a 4X4, you could buy one so great SF-4000 or better, 2 SF2000's.
I'm about to test 2 of the Mars TSL2000's and expect good things, but I'm just a much bigger fan of Samsung LM301B diodes over the Epistar SurfaceMounts they use.
But if you don't Mars route, same concept and fixtures, 1 TS3000 or 2 TSL2000's like me.

I've got 2 of the sp250, they would cover maybe 1.5 x 4'... basically directly under the light. I'm using it to supplement side lighting in my HPS room for some shorter indicia phenos. My other is vegging some seedlings in a 2x4 tent and it seems perfect for that. The SF2000 have a much broader coverage but would give me issues trying to fit the yoyo's around/in between. I prefer multiple smaller lights to go with the main 1k HPS so I can raise and lower as needed. i might grab a few of the sp150's even if they go on sale again.

I'd probably leave 2' of room around the edges/back to the plants aren't pressed up against the walls as much. maybe like a 5x5 type space or 4x6. 4x6 would be easy to cover with 3 x 250's, just do better pheno selection than I did and a flat canopy.

Yeah I didn't know what the hell I was talking about... I don't want to fill out the 6x6 but can I do a 4x4 canopy and a 2x2 canopy inside with two different lights ?

I much prefer several smaller fixtures to a single large one. You can adjust for canopy heights and a myriad of other reasons and light coming to buds from many angles equals “penetration”.
