Whats your opinion on mars hydro?
Discussed ad nauseam. https://www.rollitup.org/search/83044737/?q=mars+hydro&o=dateWhats your opinion on mars hydro?
I bought the 192 and 2 300 for a totle of over 700 w like over 400 for the 192 and about 150 on the 300s im on my 7th grow with these no diod problens.and i gotta say im impressed i wanna add a 300 w cmh what u thinktheir stuff is outdated, in most of their lights, the diodes they use are inefficient and drivers they use are cheap pieces of crap that break after 1-2 grows.
they make one grow light that is actually full spectrum and looks okay, 110w cree cob+osram supplementals that is imo overpriced at $240
wouldn't buy any of their stuff with all the great alternatives out there

Thats crazy...mine even fell when i first hung it... Im gonna use em till they die. But for real i wasnt expecting much when i ordered them i was just tryin to get started cheap but the results are there for the price imoYeah you got lucky. 1/5 of the drivers in my mars light failed on the first grow. Seen lots of other people with similar experiences.
If they do well for you that's great. It's generally a rule of thumb (I think) that almost anything epistar based is going to need wattage almost equivalent to HID. So it's kinda like you had a bunch of smaller HID lights. Which would work fine. The point most of us here are driving at is that there is much better to be had in the world of LED, but sure, a Mars will work. I wouldn't buy one, but it'll work.Thats crazy...mine even fell when i first hung it... Im gonna use em till they die. this... Not everyone can spend 1000 dollars on an led. I know all the good expensive brands and yes they prob work wau better not sure never used any. But for the price someone wanting to start out as i did..with my experience it was well worth it... Ive seen alot of led grows and i gotta say mine is right up thereIf they do well for you that's great. For sure man. Not knocking the grow or the lights at all. As I said, if they are working out for you, that's great. I couldn't afford top end lights when I started either (still can't, honestly), but I saw a lot of value in shelling out more for something better, and my temps, my yields, and my power bill reflect that. Somebody asked me the other day why I have such a hard-on for efficiency and so I asked why they weren't growing with incandescents if they really didn't care. Anyway if it works keep using it, until you decide you want something different/better.Its like
