i am sure is a horrid light but as anyone tried it
know its only 150w from the wall i was thinking for the lost cost it would make a ok veg lightPretty good reviews about it so far. Only negative I’ve seen is it gets hot with that reflector it has. It’s only 150 watts though not 1k
I bought one a couple months ago and it's working great. Even though the driver and reflector get hot, it's still a lot cooler thanknow its only 150w from the wall i was thinking for the lost cost it would make a ok veg light
the reflector does look super cheap id imagine your need to run a fan on it just from the look
have you flowered a plant under itI bought one a couple months ago and it's working great. Even though the driver and reflector get hot, it's still a lot cooler than
my Mars 600w (250w from the wall) and works just as well. A lot of people shit on the Mars lights but for the price and performance
they are hard to beat. I've had many grows with this brand of light and have never been disappointed.
I vegged these for less than a month with the ts1000 at 28" from the plants. 22 days since seed sprouted.
It easily lit up a 3' x 3' area
I have a couple white widow under it now in a 30" x 30" tent and everything is going fine so far.have yo
have you flowered a plant under it
its not much cheaper sure its better quality if you build your own but honestly its a pain in the ass and such a waste of my time having to assemble a light. its more about the shipping cost then the items its self i dont live in the states so. kind of sick of every person saying that oh just build your own light. maybe people should just answer the question asked like capn-crunch was good enough to doHave you thought about building your own led? you can easily do it and get a real good Cree COB for the same price or even cheaper than these branded lights.
Well, excuse me for trying to help you, dude.its not much cheaper sure its better quality if you build your own but honestly its a pain in the ass and such a waste of my time having to assemble a light. its more about the shipping cost then the items its self i dont live in the states so. kind of sick of every person saying that oh just build your own light. maybe people should just answer the question asked like capn-crunch was good enough to do
Every Mars light I've bought has worked better than advertised, can't say that about many companies out there.you deserve these mars craps.
Mars produces no LED, all it does is to buy LED and drivers and then put it all together, in order to have a bigger profit Mars uses only bad quality materials at a high price (maybe not if compared to other companies who does the same stuff).Every Mars light I've bought has worked better than advertised, can't say that about many companies out there.
The proof is in what they have actually produced given fixture cost and power consumption.
What part of "proven results over many grows" don't you understand? I've seen, weighed and smoked the results.Mars produces no LED, all it does is to buy LED and drivers and then put it all together, in order to have a bigger profit Mars uses only bad quality materials at a high price (maybe not if compared to other companies who does the same stuff).
Take yourself some time to do a research about LED technologies and brands, you will find out how crap Mars is.
I am no Mars fan but the SP looks like a viable option. The price is much better than their labor intensive discreet diode blurples. I would feel pretty comfortable using them and expect some good results to show up. Looks like Mars Hydro is finally stepping up it’s game. What part of "proven results over many grows" don't you understand? I've seen, weighed and smoked the results.
If you're a "spec sheet" grower, I feel sad for your ignorance.
I've been growing longer than you've been alive, so I should believe you, why? LMAO
I agree, you probably won't, but on the flip side you're not paying a lot of money to grow some bud for personal use either.Although you can get results with cheap lights like mas,you will never see the same results that the Samsung diodes produce.
I agree they are stepping up. I have one of the SP lights and love it!I am no Mars fan but the SP looks like a viable option. Growing inside is just a hobby for me to pass the long cold winter months so I don't need expensive ultra high power lights. So I am running two of these "1000w" leds (they draw 400w total at the wall). I think they're great. Two things to consider with these lights (correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not an expert)
1) No lights will be as efficient as blurples due to the spectrum and the dip in the action spectrum (mol co2 per mol incident photons). I don't know if this is true in real life, but on paper it is. Guess this is what you are referring to as a spec sheet grower.. (On paper the 3w leds are only 4% less efficient than the cxb cobs and about the same efficiency as the cxa cobs, however the full spectrum leds have a greater potential amount of co2 utilized per watt than the white leds or cobs do.
2) Blurples are a security risk. I'm looking to switch mine out because as a dog owner I can pick out the houses in my neighbourhood with blurples.. scary. At least 5 or six of my neighbours can see the glow if I open the tent at night. I've checked and now have curtains between my tent and window blinds.
I have created par maps for these lights in my 2x4 tent and it agrees very well with the manufacturers posted data. I will post them later if there's any interest.
