I did poke a qtip around with some first pollen few weeks back on her mom but I’m not sure if it took .
A read after said to sprinkle above rather than joust into the hairs.

As long as it gets on the hairs and it's viable there will be seeds. They take around 5 - 6 weeks to mature and when getting close they split the calyxe apart and are peeking out but don't too quick to pick them out as they will pretty much fall out on their own when they are really ready.

I mostly use a q-tip that I've frazzled the end up a bit with a pin. Just dip in and tap to get big cllumps off then tap it over the buds. If you can see any pollen there's thousands of grains floating around. Individual grains are too small to see without a scope.

When I grow a male I'll just cut off a branch or more to stick in a glass of water so it droops over some tinfoil or parchment paper to drop pollen onto in a closet. A single 23W - 2700K CFL bulb is enough to do small branches or two for longer ones. Cheap timer at 12/12 and that's all you need. Then you don't have to deal with the whole plant and can just compost it. Good males can be kept as fathers so you can clone them and flower the clones for fresh pollen as needed.

More development in the flower building.

She looks strong and healthy , plugging along.

Took some tweezers and removed a few pods to dry and extract pollen from.

Running dried sacs across my trim bin had good results.
Just a few hairs to move aside after all the tapping.

I did squeeze one a little and there solid and sticky.

If you keep the plant going long enough you should be getting some S1 seeds off her. Is 'her' the right pronoun to apply in this situation? So confusing. Girls will be boys and boys will be girls. It's a mixed up, muddled up, shook up world. Except for Lola .

I stuck the buds from my pollen donor girl in a paper bag until they got crumbly dry then busted it all up and found 3 seeds so far and need to really hunt thru the busted up bud to see if there's any more. The two I seeded are in their own paper bags to dry out then I'll get the rest. Got 34 F1s between the two of them so far with one growing in the pot it was created in right beside the stump of it's mother.

It's the circle of life man. Start with a seed and end with a seed.

Flowers are getting older but still alive with life and new life perhaps.

If there is seed it’s packed in there deep, lol.

It is truly amazing to see the circle of life.

MarsHydro ts1000 getting it done.

In fact , the complete line up of MarsHydro equipment works great at supplying more than enough light reflecting of these light proof tents growing fantastic health plants to full term.

This wonderful growing plant has turned into something else.

A mended branch turned into one of the biggest flowers on it’s mother.


Visual seed can be seen here and there from this reversed cutting. Few more weeks perhaps.

Looks like a few more weeks for those seeds yet but looking good! I have often had to crop the rest of the plant and leave just the seeded branch on ones I've pollinated late in the flowering cycle but that works ok. When the whole plant is dusted then it all stays until the seeds are ripe.

Yes will wait for them to colour up.

I definitely have a better idea how long things take now.

With the coverage that is on these flowers I have had some mold result in larger tops.

So I decided to end its life.

Under inspection I did find a few beans to try.

Lot better than the 4 I got off my pollen donor mom

Chocolate diesel.
I used up all I had, but now I have something to start again another day.
And a touch of pollen to try on a few runs I see coming.
