Well, I'm now convinced that aurora2 and aurora3 are males. I just got done checking them and the balls seem more pronounced. Today is transplant day, so I will be getting rid of aurora's 2 and 3...sorry dude's. By the time I transplant I should be even more convinced they are males.
This will leave me with 5 remaining plants, 3 of them are confirmed females and are all papaya's. This means I'll have 4 papaya's and 1 aurora indica left. Hopefully aurora1 is a female, I don't see balls but I do see starting of preflowers (they are very small still). It looks like the aurora's are slower to flower (at least right now) than the papaya's. We'll see how they all finish out to find out which strain is faster. So far though, I like growing the papaya's more. I had very high success rate germinating the papaya seeds and I certainly have more females from this strain. I guess, in the end, the smoke will really make the determination for which one I like best.
I'm actually happier with less plants (sort of). I never really wanted to grow 8 (or even 10 if you read the first post in this thread). The only reason I planted so many is to make sure I had some females. If I get 4 (or even 5) females I'll have more than I need. Not only that, the light will have a better chance penetrating further down the plants now (more area because of less plants). Also, I don't have to water 8 plants. You see, I'm using tap water and I leave 1 gallon jugs open for at least 24 hours to evaporate any chlorine...if I run out of water (because they haven't sat open long enough), I could damage the babies. This hasn't happened yet because I'm pretty diligent in making sure I have enough 'chlorine evaporated water' around to take care of things. I'm just saying with less plants it will be easier to manage.
Updates to come after transplant. MAYBE I'll give you all a group pic shot.
