Masking smell on a balcony?

Is it possible to mask marijuana smell on a balcony? I'm planning to grow in mine.

Here's the thing. I have grown 4 plants at the same time in a closet before, with carbon filter, etc. I would turn it off sometimes just to see if they would smell and when flowering they clearly did and I had to turn the filter back on, etc.

I'm living in another country now and I don't have the right closet for that purpose, and I just want to grow 1 autoflowering plant for fun in the balcony, I know the right spot where it would receive lots of light and it will not be seen by neighbors, I know they stay quite small, but how problematic would the smell be for 1 plant? And is there a way to mask it?

Since it can't be seen by neighbors then if someone does smell it they would be wondering where would it come from. That would be very hard to tell, could be any neighbor, but I'm just using precautions.

From my experience, when I grew weed in the closet, they smelled like weed for 2 weeks, I think, if my memory doesn't fail me. Then they smelled like sweet mango, no weed at all.

Grow some fragrant flowers or other plants that smell along with it.

Gardenia, Lavendar, Jasmine, Scented Geraniums, etc...

Guess it depends on how dank that one plant is. You can try to mask the smell but in my experience you can still smell it. If your in a non legal area i wouldnt risk it just to grow 1 plant for fun.

It's funny, it's just that I want to grow it with the natural sun. Also, my consumption is very small, it is just for the fun.

I live in Mexico. Please don't be racist. I live in a luxury beach front condo and though growing weed in Mexico is super against the law (back-warded country) you can always bribe them, so the risk is not too high. Police can't just visit my apartment without a warrant and here they're very hard to get. It is a gated luxury condo, the manager would be the one to contact me first and he has to make sure I'm growing weed, he would have a hard time doing a visual inspection, etc.

Sometimes I smell people smoking weed (Americans visiting in winter) but there's no way to know where the smell is coming from and so nobody could do anything about it, right? It's not like they can send in the police to knock on every door (they can't).

In other words, I am 100% sure I would never go to jail. I just have to pay them off if something ever happens. I highly doubt it.

I'm not a racist. It's amazing how the drug cartels in Mexico flourish yet a man has to be worried about growing a marijuana plant. I spent a bunch of time in the nineties down there helping to set up manufacturing facilities in Guaymas and Hermisillo. When going on trips to Guaymas I'd stay in San Carlos. Beautiful views of the Sea of Cortez. That was before things got so crazy down there with the killings. Had a great time every trip. I miss the ceviche.

Good luck
