Massachusetts 2020 Outdoor Growers Cure Time

That time is drawing near and soon plants will be down and the curing process will begin. Curing is an important process of medicine production, just as if not even more important than the growing itself. How you cure can make the difference between your medicine coming out smelling like hay, smelling like ammonia, not smelling at all, or smelling like you just opened a fresh jar of Christmas.
We all try and use different methods and techniques, and I'm willing to try some experimenting this year, looking for a solid technique. I have several humidity checkers to stay on top of that important component. So let's hear some advice from you vets for the newbies, the ones looking for a better technique than they have, and we'll, like I said it's that time. Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance.

Hang the whole plant is how I start, but before I even get there, think I should cut ALL the shade leaves off entirely and leave them out there? I dont usually trim my shade leaves because I think that it may shock the plant into stopping growing at a crucial time. Today I noticed that the bottom shades are beginning to yellow, but I think that is just a natural process this time of year. I noticed last year it is wayyy more of a pain in the ass to cut the shade leaves off once its hanging, although easier to put newspaper down to collect the leaf and use it for butter, tinc, whatever. Id like to, as I do my deer, try and use as much of the plant as possible. Also, allows me to give away something to smoke to my friends who actually dont mind some good leaf for free. Believe me, theyre out there.

This is my second year growing. I’m a total noob but my harvest last year was good. I’m sitting at about triple the yield (pictures of mason jars from last year below) for this year and my crops look way better at this stage than last year. I’m in MA close to NH border. Last year I wet trimmed at harvest time and trimmed all branches off (didn’t hang the entire plant). I’m planning on doing the same but would love to hear other ways to harvest. My drying/curing room is ready to go already. Figure I have another 2-3 weeks to go.

Yeah, as my plants aren't really super massive, I'm going to try to hang whole or half plants, I've always pulled the entire root up and everything, knock the majority of dirt off,and hang.
This year, I am def going to wet trim the plant before I hang it, taking off as much leaf as possible. I will leave a bit of the frosty leaves at the top, as those can be used in final trim for butter tincs or whatever.its getting cold, people are starting to panic, buds are swelling, I'm gonna juice today to kick that swell into high gear. Any tips on the last feed before I start flush? Prepping for cure I guess begins right now.

Lying here in bed I can wake up and smell my medicine growing.
