Switching over to flower nutes now. Man, Sco...you may have nailed that finish date of 2 weeks into September on all these Pure Indicas. If not earlier. These things are FLYING.
They are insane. Yesterday they had nice little buds going, now they are all stacked and touching. Like little 3"-5" colas forming.
The BlueBerry Fem is still happy. Also stacking up.
The stump chute that I let live looks awesome.
The outdoor auto (Toof Decay) is about 3' tall and is chunking up nicely...
And the auto tent is killing it. I wanna chop soon because of the trichomes I'm seeing...
But the plant is telling me it has more to give. Ton of new white hairs everyday, still drinking aggressively, still mostly green etc...
So I'm giving it another week at least.

Thinking about moving them to a cold dark room. Letting them finish there. Supposed to enhance the finish? (Insert suspicious hippo eyes here...)
I have 2 identical plants in the tent. Maybe finish 1 in the cold/dark, and 1 in the tent under the lights so we can compare and contrast effects?

Looking good guys .. mine are just starting to catch up but I think they stalled a bit because of the issues I was having a couple weeks ago... I'm glad the cover's going on soon, because its looks like I'll be going into October

you got plenty of time I run early mid oct most yrs here in maine.with your cover bet u can get to the end of oct easy.soon as I see couple days of rain coming mine is getting covered.

Thx blackie.. next up is building the end walls and ordering the plastic .. it should be covered within a couple weeks .. I'm also going to run power and water out there but that may not get done until next season .. all told though, I'm happy I built my own instead of the greenhouse kits I was looking into at the beginning of the season .. this will end up coming in at about 25-30% of the cost and I was able to pull off a 12' height ... that doesn't come into play much this year, but next year I'll be making a lot of changes and expect them to be much bigger
I'm hoping it'll cut down on the anxiety that creeps in every september... even the morning dew would gross me out ... I'll be thrilled to finally let them go as long as they need

Hi all!
New here, but followed the New England Outdoor thread last year. Got hammered with bud rot and bud worms last year just like most growers in New England. Decided to try my hand at growing some autos early to avoid those damn September rains. Threw an Alaskan Purple auto I got as a freebie from Seedsman out around June (would have put out earlier but it was fairly cold in May).
Not too much on her, but feels good to have some bud nearly done with no bud rot on it! Definitely going to do a full batch of autos early in the season next year. How long do you guys think she’s got?

Oh man...what a nightmare that was last year. There's a few other dudes in here beside myself that were contributors to that thread and you arent kidding. It was a tough time. Haha...
That's a tough call on your auto. From the pictures, I would personally give it a few more weeks to see what she does.
I have an auto that looked similar to that a few weeks ago, and now it looks like this...
And I'm still giving it a week, then a re-eval, and prob another week after. Haha unless she shows me something that convinces me otherwise.
How do the trichomes look? Are their any grow journals for the strain that show some done buds at harvest?
The main harem is loving this weather! Suns not even out yet and they are in full on "lady boner" mode.

run power out there this yr, you will need a couple 24in fans at least once you put the poly on gotta keep them buds moving 24-7

Yea, it seems airflow would be the number 1 factor once they are all enclosed like that. I imagine you could keep the ends open and position the house so the wind has access. But still...I'd have massive hollywood stunt fans out there. Haha.

It's finally starting to look like the plants are flowering now. Looking thru photos it appears most of the growth outdoors occurred just within the last month, next year I won't put them outside until the 2nd week of July since in June it appears all they did was sit there and get beat up by bad weather. I'm glad they are this size, I keep bringing them inside when there's bad weather.

Thanks.. always good advice from you guys. I should have been clear though... I'll have power out there, and will be running fans, but most likely it will be off of extension cords this year. The long-term plan is to bring two dedicated 20A circuits out there. I already have more than enough romex laying around, and I'm able to do it myself, but it's kind of a long run from the panel. It'll only be about 15' of trench, but I just don't anticipate having the time to get it done this year. The fall is my busy time of year.
For ventilation I'll have several options. I'm installing a 24" greenhouse fan above the doorway and a vent on the other end. This will be connected to an in-line thermostat and it's primary function will be to keep the dome from collecting too much heat. I have 4 brand new double hung windows that have been just taking up space in my garage. I'm putting 2 on each end wall, in line with each row of plants. This time of year I'll probably just pull out the sashes and leave the screens in. The door is a storm door that has a sliding panel with a screen also. I also have 2 good-sized pedestal fans that will keep air moving around the plants non-stop.
I also have a great dehumidifier on wheels. It's primarily used to dry out water damaged homes and basements. Last year I dried in my basement, but that time of year its always 70-80% humidity. I ran the dehumidifier and within a few hours it dropped the humidity to 35-40% in a 1400 sq ft space. It works well. I don't plan on running it all the time but on rainy days and near the end I'd like to dial it in to keep the greenhouse right around 50-55%.

Nice! And you could still end up with a decent haul. I've seen plants that size get some fat flowers. And with them being that manageable you will be able to keep them very happy and safe...which means high quality end product.

I moved the Double Grapes out of the tent and inside. Now they are in a dark room with an AC running to finish up. We will see what happens! Depending on how they look tomorrow and the weather, I may give them 3 or 4 more days out in the sun. Im going away Monday, so that will be D-day. At that point they either need to be cut, or wait until Friday.

shit man those buds look great, I've never messed with auto's but these plants have convinced me that I should
question... the 3 fingered leaves ... are they a result of revegging or is that typical with autos? Normally I may be concerned that the buds could be lighter and stringy on a reveg ... but these definitely don't look that way

Yea, that's the Ruderalis genes (that make it an auto) being expressed.
Crossing a regular hybrid/indica/sativa cannabis plant with Ruderalis is what gives us the autoflower (as I'm sure you've heard haha). The cross can give you some hilarious leaf patterns. I have some autos that have leaves with 1 finger. No lie. A stem...to a single finger leaf. Ill see if I can find it and take a picture. It's hilarious.
There isn't really a legit re-veg option with autos. They live their life and die on a set schedule, regardless of outside influence from environment. Which is why clones from autos can be tough. They dont start life over at any point. They will live and die on the life cycle of the mother.
As for density, they seem to work the same as photos, just on a smaller timeframe. If they get the light, they turn into rocks. You could hammer nails with these ones. Haha
