Massive 1 Plant Hydro Grow is this Normal!? It's HUGE

Good evening...

I have 4 plants going currently.
One bagseed that's a bush in soil.
3 Glass Slipper Strains (2 in soil) (1 in hydro) *I wanted to try the hydro route and so far I love it (just a paint to always add water etc)

So we are talking about the hydro plant. I let it flower for 3 weeks in soil. Was maybe 3 in high. I took the dirt off, and started it in the Hydro Setup.
Was healthy and was ready to rock! I have this plant in 3 gal bucket (going to get a 5 gall bucket tommrow)

This this was slow at first, but now it's MASSIVE. The Stalk is the size of a quarter, the branches coming off it are all nice and swollen and big.

The leaves are the size of two of my hands!! See the comparison picture with my wallet..... It's crazy!

I am on day 37 of Flower and this thing has a shitload of branches.. the plant is only maybe a foot tall! with over 20 branches! lol

I see pistils and it starting to bud.. Do you think it will really pickup the next 23 days!?

How much do you think I will get off this plant!?

I have been using Advanced Nutrient 2 step flora duo fert

Nice looking plant

May I ask do you think the plant might just be bigger due to all the attention and care it`s getting I mean ok hydro systems can really help people get more out of a plant but some of the best plants in the world are grown in dirt

So what did the hydro plant get that the others did not apart from being a hydro plant ? I bet it`s water gets tested all the time and all it`s nute levels are just spot on ?

If the same care is given to any plant under any medium it will always do better then just doing enough to get a decent plant, or it could be that you just find hydro growing easier then soil ? I mean it takes a bit more work to grow basic hydro over basic soil but if you take both to their max both can produce very very good bud I`d give yield to hydro and flavour to soil.

Personally I`m tempted to try aeroponics but I have a 2 level grow and think that spraying water systems are just asking for my bottom level lights to get soaked lol

Nice looking plant mind and yeah way bigger then the rest hope to see a snap of them all when there almost done.

FYI...hydro your roots are just bathing in nutes so no energy is expanded seeking them out where dirt they have to seek and process...hydro is quicker..not necessarily better but your seeing first hand why a lot of us are converting.

Thats General Hydroponics Flora Duo..not advanced nutrients

couldnt know how much yeild, dont know what kind of lighting, did you top ,FIM or supercrop?you already stressed her by transplanting 3 weeks into flowering . couldnt hazard a guess. maybe some more info

Yes they have had nothing NO i don't check anything I Just check the PH of the water, get it right, then add nutes, then put in water, and watch the water everyday. the thing is huge. but only a foot tall. they have been flowering under a 600w HPS since october 1.

Hydro and aero will always grow and finish faster then soil. For me I have a particular indica strain i have used for last 15 years or so. I grow it in aero and hydro and in aero i harvest after 35 days flowr. I suually only veg 7-10 days as they get big real fast. It was mentioned above the plants roots work alot less then soil when grown hydro as the food is right there. If you keep your ph, water temps, and your ppms right aero and other hydros will just blow dirt grows away as far as time and yeild per space but I prefer hydro grows tatse . Some will say they prefer soil grow tastes but for me the speed and ease of hydro over dirt has led me to only keep mother plants in dirt pots. Much les cleanup and much more control. Yeild is ahrd to tell by just looking. Strain and familiarity usually influence it along with lights, nutes and grower expirence.

Yeah I`ve been tempted to go all aero and not just use it to get clones started but an 8 plant areo makes a fair bit of annoying noise and I sleep pretty near my tent so it`ll have to wait till I have somewhere else to give it a go.

Welcome to hydro. Side by side comparison right there.

I think the larger plant is a Sativa and the others are Indicas
1. The size of the plant in comparison to the others.
2. Longer flowering cycle, some sativas take 4 or more months to flower!!
3. Structure/Shape of the leaves
Just my opinion;) Looking pretty good so far though!! Good luck!!
