Med Marijuana Dr Asking For Criminal Record

I have just set up an appt with a Dr who is well known in this town for supplying med weed. Anyhow,the secretary,who sounded like an eldery woman who wasnt very polite, and was a bit difficult to deal with in setting up the appt,told me I had to bring a copy of my criminal record with me. She told me that the Dr had just started requesting these records from patients . This was about my third time talking to her on the phone by the way,because she told me 2X that she was very busy and to call back later,so I dont know if she just told the doc that I sound like I may be some kind of criminal or something. Of course I may be just a bit paranoid,but has anybody else out there had to do this ? I am in Canada by the way.

i would go to a different dr...sounds to me as if they are to busy to take your money so i would find a dr thats willing to take the time to take my calls and answer my questions... but thats just me...

what state are you trying for? A doc has no reason to ask for your record.

I am in Canada as I said at the end of my thread. Anyhow my "state" is Ontario. If they dont ,or cant do it down there in your Country then odds are they shouldnt be doing it here. Thanks for the input so far. I will be looking into this further thats for sure. Any other advice would be appreciated. Anyone else out there in Ontario who knows another doc I could try?

Well I just googled the words "doctor asks for criminal record" and didnt find any matches ,so I am assuming by this that its not standard practice. I will contact the Ontario College of Physicians and Surgeons later when they open today,and see what they say.

Shit when I got a copy of my record for a property rentel I waved that clean bitch.But yea fuck that doc find another good luck
