Grow types doesn't determine the medical quality of the cannabis, the cannabis determines the medical quality, as does the grower growing it.
For example, if you have a low CBD strain, the likelihood of it working for any pain suffering individual is minimal, while for other conditions it's preferable, no matter who, or what way they grow it. Now if we look at strains high in CBD we find that they work better with pain sufferers. Now we have to look at the abilities of the grower, can they produce high quality cannabis.
Grow type plays no real role in quality I don't think, I've had outdoor that knocks the socks off lots of hydro or indoor organic buds I've consumed. Genetics -> Grower -> Mediums and nutes/teas -> Grow type.

No debate, honestly grow style is person specific, what ever works best for you is what works best![]()
I answered your exact question, I have no preference because I know one is no better than the other for actual medical quality.
How is that an answer? Your third response contradicts your first and the second comment is completely irrelevant to the question at hand.
So again I ask, As a medical user, what strains work for you and how do you prefer it grown?
