Medford voters in November to vote on growing ban:

Honestly, if a town can do it, so can a county. I *think* it's illegal to ban growing indoors (outdoor is murkier) so it SHOULD get struct down by the oregon supreme court eventually, however here's hoping we don't need to find out and the good citizens of medford vote down the bans in great numbers... But yeah, I'm more than a bit worried too as my area is extremely anti cannabis

it boggles my mind that half the state of Oregon is still illegal,, even though we voted to make it legal as a state,,, the legislature sold out to the conservatives in eastern oregon, and southern is in the biggest battle of all , if the whole state voted to legalize then it should be so,,, but for them to take away even the 4 plant rec user grow is really invading

I intend to grow for personal use as long as I can possibly get away with. personally I believe any county that bans Rec/grow should not recieve any funding from it. It was voted through, that should have been the end of it.

Currently growing two plants outside. Wasn't planning on growing this year but got shafted by the person growing for me. I'll move indoors for extra privacy next year. Didn't have time to set up a good grow. Just put something together.

I would love to grow outside but some of my close family don't know that I smoke, so part of my stealth is for that reason, so for me it is not only the state but also the lingering stigma

Yeah I hid my smoking for a long time. But due to medical issues, I don't have the luxury of hiding it. Most of my family has been understanding about it but there's always atleast one that is against it. Since I've become medical they have flipped a 180. My own mother is involved in my growing. Ha.

My daughter is the one against it, she doesn't live here but visit often, she is out spoken negative about cannabis, and I don't want a family blow up lol,
I just got diagnosed with a spinal disease and med mj could very well be in my future, for now the four plants is enough

Luckily I'm fairly young and my daughter isn't old enough to have opinions about cannabis. I was given my card recently for an unknown medical condition. All testing comes back normal yet I spend my days in pain with nausea and vomiting. I mainly use cbds, but have to add thc on top or I can't eat.

Hopefully it gets better man that is really unfortunate

For what it's worth guys, by hiding (at least from family) what you're doing, you're not allowing the (currently) close minded people a chance to see that shockingly, people who use cannabis can be "normal" people too, and not just drug crazed people who are stealing things to get their fix. Admitedly I'm unusual, but whenever it's legal I've been completely honest about what I do to almost everyone including my dr. The only way to fight bullshit information is with facts. It's much the same way as how formerly homophobic people suddenly realize gay people are just people after they realize they know several ;)

Fingers crossed for you guys where the bans are being debated, thankfully here in far eastern oregon the only bans are for retail production/selling, so I'm allowed to have my med / rec plants outside. Make sure you all register to vote, and actually vote (ideally also vote for the D ticket as while Trump at times was pro states rights, odds are he's going to go the bush jr route and have his VP run everything. Said VP is *very* bad on marijuana, couple that with at least one supreme court pick (my money is on two) and you've got a recipe for ending recreational AND medical marijuana in the name of protecting us "users" from ourselves...)
