I remember when this happened , it was in Hightimes magazine not long after he was raided. I've tried to search the Internet for his law suit, I'm dying to know if his law suit is still in process. I'm sure they are stonewalling and appealing it, just to drag it out purposely to cost him more legal fees. Or they could've offered him a pissy ass paltry amount to settle, and he could've taken it for all I know. This much would be wise, if he was awarded $300,000+ for his loss, and I was him, I'd move my ass out of the Aurora city limits and get out of that jurisdiction. Many Attorneys will tell a client that wins a major lawsuit against a shady police dept. to move out of their jurisdiction because they often come back to harass, intimidate , and even plant stuff on to "get back" at the innocent citizen for fighting them and winning. I believe we will see another 1776 style revolution before 2020, because shit like this is getting wide spread and in the news constantly.
Cool! You are right. Cops at least most of them are corrupt. I have a friend who is a good cop and he has chosen to retire so he doesn't have to work with them. I was arrested in Big Spring Texas for being dead. Well I'm not dead yet but they came into my hotel room and searched without a warrant and found a little pot I had. They called the station on the radio and said I had a crack pipe and were searching for my crack. I've never had crack in my hands in my life. I'm a veteran of 22 years in the military and was honourably discharged. They made me feel like I waisted 22 years defending crooked people. The judge trough the charges out for unlawful search and seizure. I called the Chief of police in that dirty town and told him I wanted those cops prosecuted. He refused. Be careful out there. You have no constitutional rights to fall back on.
