Why not use an eazyplug, you don't need to soak the bean just put in in the soaked plug and you're done. I don't understand why all this extra complexity is added for no purpose whatsoever, just more things to go awry.

Soaking a seed in some water for a day or 2 and planting it in soil is not very complex
I know those plugs won't break the bank, but surely they're not free. Why spend money, if I don't have to?

i like to bend them over before they flower and break that apical dominace to get a more even spread of light across the canopy. youll end up yeilding a bit more something to think about for a next run

Thanks. I've grown her quite a bit. High THC and very good terps. She runs about 11 weeks and she likes full dose N up until end of stretch. The nugs are small but rock hard.
This pic is from a previous run. I didn't top or train. I kept the light close while in seedling stage so she didn't stretch and become leggy. No real apical dominance, just 10 or so very even colas. In this pic she was at 10 weeks. I harvested at 12 weeks.

Nice! I harvested a 3 Bears OG last week. It's one of their best, IMO. As close to a good OG Kush as you will find in auto form.

The rule of thumb seems to be one gallon pot size for each month of growth. Since autos run just under 3 months I go with 3 gallon. If you're starting in the pot you're finishing in a smaller pot is easier to control a seedling in also. But I have yielded larger plants in 5 gallons. There are for and against both.

Here they are at 11 weeks and almost ready for chop. I'll chop on Friday when they are at day 80. As always...AvT is a very straight forward, easy grow. I fully expect 1LB from these 4. They each have a prime cola and 10-12 satellite nugs that are hard as a rock. No popcorn.

I harvested 2 plants at 77 days and the other 2 at 80. They will hang for at least 7 days. I just cut and hang...no trim until after drying. They take longer to dry that way. If you ever wondered why your weed doesn't have smell or flavor...it's sometimes due to drying too quickly.
I check the root ball at the end of the grow. It tells me a lot about what to do and what not to do when it comes to watering. I'll post a smoke report in a few weeks...

6 Days hanging whole with all the leaves, then 1 day of trimmed buds drying on a dry rack. 7 days total drying. After a few hours in the jar, all jars are 64% and 65% RH. I calibrated 15 gauges and only used the ones that were identical to one another in the same environment.
It took me a while to learn this...but drying and curing like this mean stinky danky weed with excellent terps every time. I Just didn't quite get this for the longest time. Its almost impossible to overstate just how crucial proper dry and cure are to the finished product. Previously, I wet trimmed and put the buds in the dry rack without regulating humidity in the drying room. They dried in like 3 days and didn't have good terps. Now I know better.. I have blown HVAC, so ambient RH is in the 30s and 40s. I bought a humidifier and I never let it get below 50. Hang drying the plant whole with all the leaves on is harder to trim but it's a better finished product...for me anyway.
I know some of you have known this forever...but this might be useful to those who didn't.
