merced water questions

I was wondering whatup with the water in merced county I hear it has alot of contaminants in it. I very much doubt its beneficial bacteria due to retards dumping garbage in the canals. Has anyone ever used straight water or had it tested would be a great help, I dont have a ph meter cus I grow organically. The ph is on point for my soil grows but I really need to know if I need to get a filtration system. Dont want to do that or I have to get more suplemental nutes. Any advice would help thank u n stay up. SPRING IS HERE!

when I lived down there I never had any problem with water even though it smelled like the swimming pool sometimes. my regular garden did well also.---mike
