Were these clones from the same mother? If so, that would be pretty good evidence for your theory. I bought one of those UV-B lizard lamps, but haven't used it yet. Any experience with those?

I know this is an older thread but I wanted to add some input. I have made it a habit to flower under MH for the first couple of weeks of 12/12 to minimize the stretching you will get from HPS. After this two week period is over I switch to HPS and have achieved great results. I have also flowered exclusively under MH but can honestly say the harvests didn't yield the same as they did when compared to HPS only. So my two cents is for those that want to maximize their yield to use MH only for flowering until the stretch period is over and then switch to HPS the rest of the way out.

I'd be inclined to mix the hps with mh in a 2:1 ratio, if I had that option.

I have flowered under a MH lamp, in fact one of my four lights is a MH right now. It works just fine man, I've never noticed a difference but people claim it doesn't come out as dense. Buy an HPS after your harvest, but for now don't worry about a thing man.

I grew with a MH light and it worked fine for me
