I'm a newbie but long time user :) Have some nice seeds from Serious seeds and don't want to F them up. I have a 4x4x 10 ft high closet that I will be using. I was given a Florescent 2x2 ft Hydrofarm T5 setup to start. If you were starting from scratch, what bulbs/set up would you buy? I don't want to spend $1000 as this is for my own consumption. Quality over quantity sort of thing. Sorry if this is posted in the wrong section...

Hey guys great thread and poll I love duel purpose lighting. Although the veg is mh and the flowering is hps (via the color spectrum they produce would it be fair to have another poll for the auto fem side?

Agree double...if it aint broke don't fix it, been using ArgoSun for number of years, HPS is good, but does it make that much difference, minimal for the added expense.

There is no versus when it comes to MH and HPS. One, Metal Halide is for the vegetative growth stage and the other, High Pressure Sodium is for the flowering stage .. you use both .. period, the end.

Anyone who uses them in any other way either cannot afford what is needed, so they pick one and hope for the best, or they do not know enough about plant needs to post a valid comment.

Whats better for flowering?
1000 watts hps or 400 w mh

I have 10 auto fems

I have a 1000w hps
and a 400w mh

Which is better for vegging

I was just gonna give it 400 mh when i go to bed and 1000 hps when im awake

Let me know what yall think
