I'm getting excited for the rest of 2024!! Akerfeldt back with the growls, Dream Theater back with Portnoy, Iommi with 70's Satan movie vibes!

Here I am still stuck on Chris Cornell.

Went to the first night of Metallica last night. Close to 60,000 at Commonwealth Stadium here in Edmonton. We somehow managed to get 1 of only 2 shows in Canada for the M72 world tour. Here's one quarter of the stadium from the lower bowl. Pic was taken just as the band started down the runway. Absolutely epic show with Mammoth (Eddies son) and Pantera as special guest. My brother in law snagged tickets for both shows so he's taking his niece tomorrow. This was my first major outdoor show since starting to go to concerts in 1983.

It crushed!/ And I'm hooked!!!



Here's a good video of it, but I won't be surprised if it's taken down. Our place is 10k from the venue. Wife told me she could hear it clear as a bell and it sounded great. We're at the top of an incline so the sound carries.
