MH Distance

Well I got my hps/MH and I now confused i thought this would be plenty for 3 plants but it looks like the 2 on the outside are getting enough light check it out and let me know what you think PLEASE!!

1. how many watts is the light
2. can you put the plants in a triangle formation
3. you should let the light favor the smaller plants or raise the smaller plants, so that they can compete with the big fella in them middle
4. can i see a shot of the entire light and plant set up

you loose alot of lumnes when going conversion switchable ballast are better and cheaper when digitals. You need to rotate the center plant each day with an outside edge plant til they catch up then do the suggest triangle or raise the light some or get a larger reflector with a widere spread.

I WOULD clone the top of the 2 shorties... THEN...
I would clone the top of that big fooker (beautiful plant BTW) and make him.. ooops make her the same size as the to shorties.. then I would veg for 5 more days and FLOWER....

THAT bulb will be perfect.. especially if you clone and flower... DONT let them get BIG!!!

ok gnome here you go new setup and i dont know how to clone or where to top make me nervous. Oh on one of the close ups are those pistils i dont think they are it should be way to early but i though i would ask

FUNNY.... you need to... get that fan slightly lower... so that it is actually blowing at a slight angle upward towards the light... THIS WAY, the hot air will be BEING blown up and away from your plants...

DO you know for sure that those plants are female?

no i have no idea i was just wondering if those were pre flowers. Also so you think I should start flowering 12/12 in 5 days. and switch to tiger bloom food

DO YOU HAVE rockwool cubes?

You need to learn how to clone.. it is actually really easy.. You will need a single 43 watt bulb and about 12 rockwool cubes... YOu want to make sure you get at least 4 female clones for your next grow... I can almost promise you that THE big plant yo have is female... the nodes look very tights...


So you need

rockwool cubes
razor blades
CFL light
tray to put clones in
cloning gel
wilt spray

find a clone tutorial on the net

don't worry about cutting the clones under water or misting them or any of that shit...

just learn about cutting the clone
where to cut it... how many nodes it should BE/HAVE, cut at an angle etc...

THESE ARE THE TWO or 3 MOST IMPORTANT PARTS to cloining

THE CLONING GEL, the rockwool , the light and the wilt spray will do the rest...

don't worry.. everybody is freaked out the first time they clone... it is normal.. you will do great!!!

Ok i will definitely read up on cloning but you when I start flowering them 12/12 with the HPS if 5 days you dont think I should feed them tiger bloom?

Glad you think that one is a female!! hope the others are too but we will wait and see those close ups above are of the the 2 shorties.

Those plants are not hungry.... the color is fantastic.. what soil are you using?

If you do feed.. MAKE sure you dilute to 1/5 or more of the suggested amount...

If you are going to clone the TOP.. you need to make sure that you veg for at least 5 days after cloning... If you are going to clone the lower branches... you can wait until the 2nd week of flowering...

make sure you mark your clones with tooth picks and tape... make little flags and put them in the rockwool cubes.. mark each clone so that you know which plant it came from.. this means you will also need to mark your containers.....

Then we=hen you find out which plants are female.. you can keep those clones..

Sweet thanks i just thought I was supposed to feed every other day so I have been and I have been using 2tsp of Grow Big to every gallon and the soil is Scotts premium potting soil.
