mh or hps

i dnt want to buy to set of lamps i would rather buy 1
and leave them on 18/6 in the veg them 12/12 to flower
but what would have more benifits for the plants
the mh or the hps

Get an HPS and if u want get a MH conversion bulb to use in veg or just use the HPS all the way, if you get a 600 or 1000w you can get a dual arc bulb with both.

ive just had a quick look at the dual arc bulbs they would be ideal
but can only find 1000w but ive got 600w ballasts they say 600w hps and 400mh whitch makes them 1000w dose that mean i need a 1000w ballast ?
do you know anywhere i could find any 600w on the net where i could find any ?

Here ya go they have both 600 and 1000 they also sell agromax brand bulbs for 60$ more not sure if they are worht 60$ more or not.

HPS will grow both well but hps is intended more for the flowering and will fill out more were as MH is used to grow in veg. My suggestion is if you only want one type of bulb get a HPS.

you could get a mh with 3000k bulb i hear they work great for flowering..
