mh or hps

Is it okay to grow from start to finish under hps? I have a 400 watt mh/hps interchangeable fixture and misunderstood which bulb was which. I was going for five weeks under mh and nine weeks under hps but messed up. I guess I learned something. Here she is at four weeks.

yea it's ok to use HPS all the way through. I've heard some people say that there is no point in MH, but I like to use em because it cuts the use of my HPS, making it last long.

this is gonna sound crazy but use both, one bulb for veg one bulb for flower or at same time,

both bulbs will combine for a complete spectrum of light for your plants

Thanks Nusky. I also want to add that instead of just running 18/6 and then changing over to 12/12 I've been ramping down on the hours gradually. I started at 20/4 and I'll be at 12/12 by next week. She's all ready showing sex and what looks like the beginnings of multiple (cola?).

but you dont use the MH for flowering and thats wasted bulb life and wasted $$
replicate the sun, thats what bulbs do . . . right

and a MH and a HPS bulb together will replicate its spectrum better then any single bulb

and i have flowerd with MH bulbs and they definetly have enough lumens and intensity to grow compact and tigth buds but whatever good luck

this is the spectrum for the dual arc bulb that is both mh(400) and hps(600)

this is what i really mean but two bulbs will do it as well
