Mi5 Peach pheno

end of march- april 1st i germinated 30 Mi5 seeds, so i've had this pheno before when i grew it last year, it smells like peach snapple in a way- very sweet peach smell in flower, while most other mi5 smell like afghani/diesel smell to them. I was lucky enough to get 3 of these, 2 males 1 female, the female I'm making f2 seeds with the best smelling male, he's got better structure too, looks like a female, smells like one too and he's showing a nice purple like the female does. Mi5 Naturally purples since it is purple afghan crossed into ak47 autoflower. currently starting week 2 of flowering, and each plant has similar growth but slightly varying leaf shape, some are narrower and showing more sativa appearance others are total indica appearance (peach is more sativa close to 50/50).

Alright! got 10 mature seeds drying over the next week, Mi5 Peach-F2(not sure what stage this strain is on, but i'll call it F2). I probably have another 150-300 forming and maturing now, i hope i get a higher % of peach phenotypes in the next batch of seeds, but i won't rule out the possibility of it turning out as straight garbage. 30 parents isn't a whole lot of selection to choose from but i'll be starting a Grow journal to document my results.

i just pulled one of my mi5 males i poped two seeds of it and both were male i kept one for pollen it looks pretty sturdy but i dont have alot fo space so im limited on how many i can grow out but id love to have a peach pheno do u have any pics of it so i may be able to id it early? i also am working on another strain called green goblin its a cross of wonderwoman and mi5 right now its a f1 so i need to breed it back to a auto so if i could find a peach pheno i think that would add very nicly to the skunky, frutiy, berry smell of the wonderwoman i used...

oh and both the mi5 mother and the wonderwoman father were very colorful mi5 with alot of purples and the wonderwoman with purples and almost some pink hues to the leaves so far i am sprouting 6 of those and 2 have poped so far

the female phenotype i chose this time was

1. More sativa dominant.
2. Has More stretch, taller.
3. Has Starburst Peach smell when rubbing stem or leaf.
4. Very aromatic, smells strong but not bad. like rotten fruit from far away.
5. Foxtails seem to be common with this phenotype, longer buds than most indica dominant plants.

Male i chose

1. Sweet Peach smell
2. Medium-tall
3. Straight single cola growth with little branching
4. one of the males that showed sex last (like 28th /30 place)
5. More sativa Dominant.

so u sould have a nice christmas tree offspring with better yields and will take longer im excited about this

Im not sure if the traits i want are passed onto these seeds, so i plan on germinating 100 and keeping the best representations of the keeper phenotype and use them for seeds with the best males. i'd need to use more males from the f2's in breeding selection to find a definite male parent for f3's to select from, i also am using a male from my f2's to pollinate my freebie Afghan kush ryder by world of seeds and my freebie Blue Mammoth by barneys farm for some new auto's... unless these suck as auto's, as I've bred with fem auto's before and gave me terrible results in f2's, bad parent selection.


Afghan kush Ryder and Blue mammoth are roughly a week old so by the time they are 4 weeks in flower in mid-late june i should have males flowering and pollinate.

do u have any experience in breeding photo period into autos? im newer to breeding and ive only done it in small amounts like if i find a good pheno or strain i wanna keep going ill breed it or with it but ive never done any with autos other then the ones ive done with my mi5 and those i just made and sprouted so. i dont mean to hijack the thread but id really appreciate ur input..

if you cross


Mi5 x Non-auto= non-auto with offspring containing 1 or a few autoflower genes.
MI5non-auto x MI5non-auto= 25% autoflowering offspring.


and so on untill you stabilize.

so if they dont auto still breed with them then do i take the auto offspring and breed those or should i back cross it with mi5 or would i take the 75% non auto and breed those down to a couple keepers and breed those couple non autos together to get 50% auto then the same thing till i get to 100% or if it makes any sense should i continue breeding the non autos till im at almost 100% auto or should i breed a resessive auto trait with a domanate auto gene I.E. a f3 non auto with a f2 auto?

F1's (Auto x Non-Auto) do not autoflower, F2's can. So the Most dominant non-auto traits are held in F1's, which is what i would breed for if outcrossing to Void or Third Dimension), the F2 gen is how you test for good f1's. F1's can be backcrossed to if you have pollen- the easiest way is having a good F2 male representation of the F2 female Keeper phenotype. with enough males, you can test them the non autoflowering F1's over the spand of years before you get the right F2/F3 or F4 step even though its back to back harvesting/seeding.


the reason most respected breeders don't care for making auto's is because they are difficult to breed, since preserving the traits of the high quality non autoflowering strains they outcross to should be the top priority, but they may end up with only 500 seeds of the keeper cross since fems can't be cloned and pollen can only be saved for so long. intact. To please everyone, some put out auto's but for the most part they are lackluster yielders and can be low potency, Mi5 on the other hand is not low potency, which is why i am growing it again. strong sativa-like head high but a good amount of THC and CBD, so smoking alot will couchlock easily. not the best sleep meds since its balanced, some other auto's can outright cripple me because of how much cbd/cbn they contain, some i think have more than medical strains.

no i'm not saying that, i'm just saying you should be aware of the work ahead if you plan on crossing them, since it will take a few generations for you to breed a sick autoflower (minimum of f2's before auto's even show themselves) which might take about a year.

the payout is that you get your own strain you can grow and harvest year round, indoors and out(as long as the weather is good).


I decided I'd take my males from TGA-Void,Third Dimension and Ace of Spades and pollinate the best 2 smelling f2's i can immediately get my hands on. since these are mostly sativa plants, it should add some potency and vigor, its worth it if i get something worthwhile in f1's, you can find something you like even more than the Wonderwoman in your f1's but its going to take alot of selection and breeding to find that F1 that breeds true to F2.

well do u think i could use party cups just for the breeding aspect of it i dont have alot of room for big pots like i use for my other ones but i could find some keepers and just seed them or a little bit of them or do i want a semi bigger plant so i can devote a couple branchs for seeds and enough sensi for a good idea of the new strain or would i even be able to get enough seeds out of a party cup plant to get a good selection of pheno types? also ive planted 10 mi5xwonderwoman seeds and only 2 have poped any idea of why im using the same method ive always used and had almost 100% success rate of germination

germination has to do with

1. how well you dried and stored the seeds <<< this seems to have the biggest impact.
2. medium they grew in (organic soild being the safest/best)
3. method.



my deku's (Fruit Auto x Jilly Bean) f2's gave me a nearly 100% germ rate because i dried and stored them from 2 weeks to 2 months before germinating.

i grow all organic and i dryd then for probly 2 weeks then they have been in tiny zip bags since when i dry them sould i keep them in the buds till the bud is dry and pop them out or should i take them out after i cut and dry them on paper plates or cardboard? do u know of any other possible issues it could be?

I use cups from Starbucks, the biggest ones i could get and fill them about midway with soil so that i can transplant once they get rootbound(i cut holes for drainage of course), for germination i've used the paper towel method or rapid rooters if have them, both work great. some seeds take a bit longer to germinate (3-4 days longer) i tossed a whole bunch of fem hermie seeds(from f1 Deku that was really sati dom) outside and for about a week in april the weather was straight shit, like 3-4 days of straight rain and cold- like under 55F every day, a week later (almost 2 weeks after germination period) they start popping up above ground after the cold spell broke, like 25/30 were successful. so i think patience will reward you plenty if you wait.



I don't count any seed out anymore even if it doesn't germ in a weeks time, because i got so impatient i took a few cups from outside that had herm seeds and just put the rapid rooter on top, low and behold the deku seed germinated and went under the entire rapid rooter and up the side of the cup, a few went above the MI5's so i had to kill them or else they would've robbed the root space lol.
