Minimum wage going up serves no purpose other than to make it harder for younger workers to find their first job. More experienced workers can simply turn down a job offer if it's below their minimum wage requirement. This type of post should probably be in the politics section.
are you a diehard republican or just uneducated? minimum wage going up serves no purpose.. wheres your head. you do realize were talking about minimum wage jobs here.. minimum wages in every state in the united states is so low that people who don't hold a degree couldn't survive on their own and have a successful life... even the minimum wages being raised to the amounts they have been in some states still doesnt put the people in their states above the poverty line/cost of living.. if the minimum wages aren't in creased how the hell do you expect people to deal with inflation..buisnesses have the ability to pay their workers better pay and they don't. theres a bread place here in the states somewhere that gives their employees a massive stake of the company intakes.. i own a construction company i know how important better wages for my employees are.. i don't start a single person at less than 15$ hr. for their first thirty days and after that we decided where they go. they always receive steady raises... and i know theres guys that have worked with me in the past that couldn't even begin to support their family on 15$hr without government funding.. now theres companies around me that start people at 9$hr.. so how is that fair? the only people that can respond to that job ad are little kids living with their moms... think about how much more beneficial it would be to have a job that actually paid a living wage as opposed to living off the government.. raising the minimum wage would slightly change americans dependance on government funding. but still even raising the minimum wages doesnt bring anyone to cost of living standards..
