thinking of moving back to mi. do not want to move back unless I can get patient privileges. what constitutes residency?

couple dudes told me po box is fine... i would set up po box first, and then get patient card then make the move.

can one person be a caregiver and the other just a patient if they have a drug felony? same house husband and wife...??
If you have a drug felony then you don't qualify for a mmmp card. All the rules are at Michigan.gov/lara

If you're moving to MI just do the normal thing you always do when you move and change your address then go find a pot doctor to sign the card application and in a few weeks you will have your card. It's pretty straight forward.
Thanks, sorry I just saw this. Your help is appreciated.

It's not that straight. You need to make sure you see that Dr. a couple times a year as well as your primary physician at least once a year so in case you get charged with whatever, you can prove in court you have a bonafide Dr., patient relationship. This has proven through case law to be a big deal with a jury. These assholes need to make people take a certification course before cards are issued, so the people understand everything they need to do to comply. Instead they set the people up to fail so they can swoop in to seize assets.

Check this out!!!
In the Federal Eastern District Court yesterday, Komorn Law and the MMMA filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of all medical marijuana patients and their caregivers who depend on the medical use of cannabis oil or products infused with marijuana, such as edible preparations. The lawsuit seeks to enjoin the Michigan State Police and Oakland County Sheriff’s Forensic Laboratories from creating reports falsely stating that medical marijuana preparations are a synthetic schedule 1 drug, with no medical use. The lawsuit also asks the Court to appoint a crime lab monitor to ensure that a scientific standard is applied at the labs for marijuana and its preparations.

The class is represented by four plaintiffs, each one a previous defendant to criminal charges and asset forfeiture for possession of medical marijuana preparations.

The named defendants of the lawsuit are Col. Kriste Kibbey Etue, Director of the Michigan State Police, Inspector Scott Marier, Interim Director of the Michigan State Police Forensic Science Division, Capt. Joe Quisenberry, Commanding Officer of the Forensic Services Laboratory for Oakland County, and Michael Bouchard, Sheriff of Oakland County, Michigan.

If you are not lying to your Dr and have a legit medical reason for MEDICAL cannabis then nothing can go wrong. But if you are playing the system just to buy pot from a dispensary or grow for a profit then a state like colorado where its recreational is the place to move. I use in replacement of oxycodone for severe pain, baclofen of my spasms and valium for my PTSD from when i broke my neck and became a quadriplegic. People faking the system make it harder for people like me who prefer holistic over narcotics. But what you said is true, you do need a relationship with your Dr in order to be legal if asked to appear in court. My primary Dr recommend it but could not sign due to being a professor at the university hospital and there rules. Sorry if this sounded rude but it is in the correct thread and I just want to help.

No worries from me, hoping the best for you. Guessing that was a UofM Dr., be happy when they make new policy in regard to MMj.

It is UofM. I will be very happy. I am sitting proof that Cannabis has many medicinal values and my liver thanks it I'm sure. Dr told me to medicate every three to four hours and i follow that with a smile on my face. They can make all the laws they want but there going to have to pry my edibles and extracts from my cold dead fingers.

Smoke safe and be happy.

most edible and extract manufacturers dont like to out themselves to a federal felony. so they usually dont have a website.
How is it a felony if its legal and this is what I guess they get for having a mmj card in Michigan. Don't know much about it so curious.

Concentrates are not illegal in Michigan. The amendments go into effect 12/20/16 and are retro-active AND curative, meaning it's law the moment the Governor signed it into law. There are some stipulations on how the concentrates are made though.

Does an outdoor grow in Michigan need to have the top completely covered to comply with laws? I've heard both ways and that it's county specific, I haven't been able to find information in my specific county. Any help is greatly appreciated.
