.. Oh, well.. This was awesome. Read it from top to bottom and learned ALOT! I like how you show things before and after your actions, it makes it WAY easier to follow and taking your time to explain everything aswell as answering the questions.. Just wanted to share my opinion and encouraging more ppl to see this journal as a template.. hehe! Fuck it! I need some sleep. Happy tokin' and good luck with your future grows, bro.

My first post may as well be on the first grow diary (here) that I've read in full. This was a brilliant use of that cabinet (though 20" of height isn't much to work with). I'd suggest using some thin (1/2" wide x 1/8" thick) self-adhesive foam weatherstripping (or similar) to make the flowering chambers more light-tight (those buds were super-airy; probably due to light pollution during the "dark 12"). I can't say it's sold me on CFLs but I've been wanting to try DWC and this thread is more encouragement. Thank-you, Wolfman Zen, for posting this informative and entertaining thread. It's a shame this thread died as I have just finished reading it start to finish and it is very good. I will use this for reference for sure. I wonder what happened to Zen though as it sounded like he had future plans but his last post on here was 2008!

I have never grown my own before and would love to! Done some research but just a bit para so.........

My question is, can i do the exact same but use soil instead?

read this whole thread from start to finish. definitely designing my first cab grow based off of his amazing system. that DIY carbon filter is genius. wolf pack respect.
