Btw...should I have dwarf auto flowering plants on a 20/4 light cycle ? Anyone?

You're going to hear mixed views on this especially since it's an auto. Because it is an auto people will say it doesn't matter and that 20/4, 18/6, or 12/12 will be fine from veg to flower. I mean that's why autos were made in the first place; people wanted a plant that automatically flowered without having to change the light cycle.

In my grow, I actually treated it as if it was just another plant and went 20/4. No reason behind it nor no real hard data that it's going to affect my end yield, I simply just felt like doing so.

Now... from my understanding, in general, plants use light cycles for various development. They use daylight for photosynthesis and at night through various complex cycles, breakdown stored energy, distribute, and uptake nutrients. With this it only made sense to me that even though it's an autoflower giving it some night and daylight would still help the plant regardless if it's an auto or not (especially in flowering when I'm using nutes).

In the end she's going to be your little girl and you'll have to be the one making the decisions :P just want to help by dropping some thought to your question instead of just a solid yes/no, 20/4, 18/6, 24/0 answer. Either way I'm subbed and can't wait to see this thing take off.

More info for ya:

24/0 is a waste, diminishing returns. I run mine 20/4. If you run 12/12 you may not get as much yield, because that
means you end up with 56 hours less grow time each week than if you did 20/4, which adds up to losing more than 2 days of
grow time each week.

some do 18/6, some do 20/4. The seed breeders recommend 20/4.
They may need dark periods, but the evidence doesn't support it, as autoflowering cannabis is a C3 plant that gathers CO2 only while the light is shining so it produces energy only in the light period!

Thanks so much !! Ive decided to go with 20/4 ...simply because as you said...the plant needs the night cycle . Dwarf ryder seed germinated and went into soil this evening :-) im so excited about this grow. My pc box grow is also doing very well . On day 43 with that little gem . Stay tuned and thanks for the advice
