On the 10 year anniversery of my last grow I felt like it was time to give it another shot.
This will be my 3rd grow and the last time in this tent I managed to squeze out around 7,7 oz (220grams) with great quality.
Probably wont get as big a harvest this time due less light but I don't really smoke anymore so the growing is more of a funny hobby.

Because of different living conditions I had to switch out some of the equipment since last time so this grow I'm using a 60W full spectrum LED + 2 55w PL-L lights (2700k).
I was a little sloppy while trying to germinate and drowned 2 of the seeds resulting in 2 plants which has come a few days further than the other two but I think I will be able to manage.
The two on the right are Cannatonic from Resin Seeds and the two on the left are Tangerine Dream from Barney's farm.

These are some pics from the first 17 days under 18/6.
I'm not going to veg them for much longer due the small pots (6,5litres) and the small amount of space. At this moment I'm just waiting for the soil to dry out so that I can top the pots up with soil and those brown drainage balls (don't know the english word for them).
The temp is between 21-29 degrees celsius and the humidity around 35. (I know this is a bit on the low end but I live in an extremely dry area and cannot seem to get it much higher at the moment).

I will gladly take any input and answer any questions you might have.

Happy growing

Now I've topped up all the pots with soil (and those brown drainage balls, please teach me the english name for them).
Now I'll just let them settle a little before switching to 12/12.

how do you manage 4 plants grow in a 40x40? i had 1 plant in 35x35 and i couldnt pull it out of the box
Small pots and early flowering, Did'nt have to do much else last time. How large of a pot did you use when growing?
I also suspect that the vertical lights help counteract stretching

that is a pic from late in the previous grow, unfortunately 2 ballast to the PL-L lights have since broken and I could not seem to find replacements. And my new location gets hotter so I decided not to use the big CFL because I could'nt get the tent lower than 32-33 degrees with it when I tested it.

that looks amazing i will follow this diary
That surely is/was one happy, lush plant :p

Thanks! I was really happy with the last grow and was astonished over the amount and quality I was able to harvest. Because of the vertical lamps almost the whole plants were buds and with zero "low grade" popcorn.

Guess we'll se how this new one turns out.

o she was great.on a grow before the last one i got 90g for 60w and everybody was talking how good it was.my only problem was the height(you got that) but mini boxes are amazing.
"low grade" popcorn.
i had soo much on top that i had yellow popcorns XD made good cookies. right around where you would usually do a lolipop, not a single leaf wanted to go green.

cant wait to see your tangarine dream.long time ago i planted it with some others never finished but she was the biggest of them all.

Yeah it is something about just trying to maximize a small space that I really enjoy. Not to mention that I can give the girls all the love they need when I don't have to many :D

In that pic all 4 girls are Bubblelicious from Nirvana.
Oh, I've barely seen any grows of Tangerine Dream I just stumbled upon it on leafly and was hoping she would give me a high I actually appriciate (that has'nt happened in a few years).

So I have flipped the switch and yesterday was the first day for the girls with 12/12. I believe they allready are starting to stretch and today I updated the LST. My thought is to make as many budsites as possible "viewable" from the top while pulling the top as close as possible to the side lights.
Unfortunately one of the TD's is a much slower grower than the others so I guess I'll skip the LST on that one.

The girls keep growing and I've put the light a little closer so it now sits at 40cm above the canopy and they seem to be liking it.
They also just recieved their first feeding with the water (very small dose of canna terra flores).

I find it pretty cool that one of the cannatonics is growing with 7 fingers and looks the most sativa of the bunch. I thought I would see that kind of behavior from the Tangerines, not the cannatonics.

They keep growing and I keep holding them down with strings. I also pick some fan-leaves of now and then so it does'nt get completely out of hand.

I also started training the "slow-grower" because it was starting to get taller than the rest, we'll see how that one turns out.

I am starting to second-guess if I mixed up the seeds while planting. The cannatonics are really stretching and the Tangerine Dreams are falling behind. So I decided to put the TD's on boxes to get as close to the light as the CT's. Perhaps the TD's are just slower starters or the luck of the draw has put it so that I have sativa leaning CT's and indica leaning TD's. Anyone have any experience with this?

Now they're more at level atleast.

Things are starting to happen, the TD's seem to be stretching and atleast 1 of them is now taller than the CT's (while on the boxes) so hopefully I can remove the boxes in a few days.
I think they look happy but if anyone has any input I would gladly take it:

They keep growing and are now up to 45ml/10l Canna terra flores. I think I will also start with their pk13/14 sometimes next week.

But I'm wondering how I should count the flowering days. I've always interpreted the "8 weeks to harvest" as 8 weeks from when you switch to 12/12. But maybe this time is counted from the first sign of flowering? When the first pistills show?
I want to feed PK13/14 four weeks before harvest but when that is depends on how I count so I figure I'm gonna give it "in between" (around day 33-35) and for a week.
Any thoughts around this?

In my experience. Breeders count start counting flower days after first signs of flower formation
(Around 10 days after flip to 12/12)
