Miniature Sativas?

Hi,

I've read this forum quite a bit in the last month, or so, and I'm reading Garden Knowm's book about CFL growing. I'm waiting around (nervously) for my seeds to arrive, and I had a question.

I ordered an indica dominant plant, because it seems that's what most use for these types of grows, and for first time growers like myself, if I get the chance. I noticed in GK's book, he flowers his mango plant at 4.5 inches.

Could you do the same with a Sativa plant? My favorite weed in Amsterdam was Hawaaian Snow, which looks to be a giant, long grow. So maybe not that one, but I've seen the online descriptions of some "short" sativas, like G13 haze from Barney's, or Arjan's Haze #3.

So, can you grow "miniature" sativas? I'm not really concerned about yield, as I'm not an every day smoker or interested in being anything more than a hobby grower.

OK, maybe I shouldn't have said miniature. Just wanted to know if anyone had grown sativas indoors, with a minimal CFL setup, and were pleased with the results?

Sativa's in general are just tall plants but the greenhouse has bred a miniature sativa, Arjan's Haze 3. It's bred from genetics from Laos, where there's a landrace short sativa (apparently) and I just picked myself up 5 seeds in the Dam, gonna try it out in a month when I move into my new place.

The Greenhouse has a video showing their Arjan's Haze 3 plant on youtube.

I grew sativa's indoors. The plants were tall and thin and the buds were a bit airy, but the smoke was first rate (all red hairs). I bought the seeds online - they were supposed to be 3 different varieties (Durbin Poison, Nigeria, Skunk x Haze), but all 3 looked (and smoked) exactly the same. I don't know exactly what they were, but they were good sativas.

Lama that picture is both awsome and exciting for me because i just order 5 seeds of PPP and i can't wait to see how it grows. Do you have any other pics that i could see?

LST (Low Stress Training)

Tie her up... adjust often... you can even use washers hanging from paper clips when the plant is still young...

Take a peek at my garden... 3 weeks into flowering, 5 inches high... (I started with clones...)

Hope this helps...
