I posted some pics of this light in the Microgrow forum, but I figured I would share here as well. I built this light to suit my small cabinet with interior dimensions of about 18" x 38". Using an HLG240H-C700B to power all 10 in series. 100% driver utilization!
I went with the 7.984" heat sink profile so I could mount two rows of Citizen CLU038-1208's and at 32" long it has plenty of surface area to cool these COBs passively. No holders as the string is way over voltage for the Ideal holders and I didn't want to wait for the high voltage Bender & Wirth's.
Mix of 5000k and 3000k, mostly because CDI was out of the 4000k at the time but I feel like the mix will provide a great spectrum for the full cycle.
I found some cool water-resistant connectors for the power connections, and some cheap adjusters and picture frame hangers to hang it.
JUICE.
This is my first DIY light so let me know what you think!
