Hello all. Here are some pics of my little operation going on...i just have a bunch of seedlings starting out but i have noticed some dam gnats floating around. They look like the little gnats you get when you take too long to take out the trash. Any tips to gid rid of these lil fuckers?

1/4-1/2" of sand on top of your soil will kill the larvae in the pots and stop the reproduction, also don't overwater they love moist soil. Let it dry out real good every time. Also I keep a spray bottle filled with water and a little bit of dish soap mixed in, kills those fuckers on contact.

Those are Fungus Gnats. They are a pain in the ass because the larvae feed on your roots and they reproduce fast.

Thats a good idea. Is this supposed to cut off the adults from the medium so they cant reproduce? Unfortunately I grow in rockwool so they just fly to the bottom of the medium. Anyway here is my method of control - destruction.

One way to kill em for good is use Bacillus Thuringiensis Berliner var. israelensis (aka Gnatrol). You drench your medium with the suggested amount and the larvae die. Hence no more reproduction. The adults can be controlled by sticky traps. Gnatrol should be used in conjunction with the traps.
