miracle gro all purpose any good

hi anyone tryed this stuff for there plants its 24-8-16 npk

I used it for my first couple grows, with good results. It's potent stuff though, so I suggest starting with it mixed at around 1/4 strength, then increasing it if your plants tell you to.

thanks ive just bought some as iam having probs getting ferts where i live and this was on sale lol.

If you have to, or just want to, use Miracle Grow products you really want to use the Tomato Formula for vegging and Bloom Booster for flowering. The mixtures/ratios of NPK are more suited to the plants for the various stages of growth than the all purpose formula is.

You can use it but you would be better going the other route if you stick with Miracle Grow.

For the most part I am not a fan of those types of chemical fertilizers. Their strength and the mixing of them when combined can be cause for errors more easily being made and problems resulting.

If someone wants easy I sometimes suggest some of the Fox Farms dry fertilizers/nutrients. It is not that I love them and use them but if it were between Miracle Grow and them, I would have them on my shelf already.

As for finding ferts where you live being difficult .... well you have an Internet connection .... that means the entire world is your shopping mall. If you want something different and better you can find something different and better.

Also, for about $15 you can order a pint of both DynaGro Grow and Dynagro Bloom, which contain everything you need for a successful grow, including the trace nutes. It's cheap, easy to use, and you'll have enough to grow and harvest quite a few plants, so is definitely worth considering. If you do end up buying some, get some PH Up too,(also on Ebay, and pretty cheap) because the ferts will need adjusted before using, as most do.

I use the MG 24-8-16 exclusively while vegging. NOTE -- add a small drop of Dawn liquid detergent to each gallon of nute water.
That really helps disperse the liquid throughout the root system. NOTE II -- After vegging, flush pot completely with 2-3 gallons of just water.
Two days later start DAILY watering with 12-16 ounces of water + Dawn + Dyna-Gro 3-12-6 blooming nute.

I have refined this watering system over 6 or 7 grows. MOST IMPORTANT NOTE!!! --- It is much better to water 12 ounces daily than 36 ounces every 3 days.
Think about it - why are hydro set-ups famous? A: Because they grow fast. Q: Why do they grow fast? A: Because they receive near-constant watering with nutes.

ive never herd of people using dawn or any dish soap in the way your suggesting.

i dont think i could bring myself to "wash" my plants roots
