Second Mr Sticky also, if you find your buds seem harsh, perhaps try curing them for longer, or drying them a little slower, or both. I think they're a bigger factor with regards to the end taste.

Incidentally, did you know that many tobacco/cigarettes you buy in the stores, some of that tobacco has been curing for YEARS before its turned into a cig. I didn't know that until I bought some tobacco (and cigar) seeds, figure if I'm going to grow my own weed, may as well grow some cigar leafs for making blunts

So yeah, conventional smokable tobacco is the same - rough when dried quickly, or smoked with no, of little, curing time. We don't smoke a rough cigarette and think "they used too much nutes".

I've got some cuban havanna seeds in germ at the moment too now, lol - growing tobacco here in the UK at least, is totally legal. Its not legal to sell, as you need a licence, but at least you don't have to worry about the police kicking your door in over your cuban grow, lol

Edit: Just to add, you get like 100 seeds for £5.00 for tobacco etc, and since it doesn't flower you don't have to worry so much about the light levels like you do with bud. So if you've got room, grow some tobacco plants as well, they'll do perfectly fine with the ambient light from your main weed grow.

I was thinking that also. MG, because it's cheap and everyone has access (may even have some) is probably used a lot by noobs. My first couple of harvests were all but ruined by poor curing. I could have easily blamed the harshness on the MG.

Kudos on the tobacco growing! I hadn't thought of the fact that some tobacco is cured for years. If MJ is cured right and stored in mason jars, do you think it will last for years as well?

Honestly, I don't know. Using logic and deductive reasoning (fancy was of saying "having a thinkie about it"), I would have to conclude it would. But only if its dried right, cured right and done properly. In fact for the longer term storage I'm considering drying, curing (few weeks to a month), then using a household vacuum bagger designed for food. It'll suck all the air out (which is the catalyst for spoiling/mould etc), then the bud should last, pretty much as long as needed if stored in a cool dark place etc. Vacuum sealed baggies, lol. I'm going to go out on a limb as well and suggest that the longer the weed is curing, the finer it'll be. Just like tobacco and wine.

My favourite rolling tobacco is predominantly a dark virginia it seems, and those seeds are cheap and plentiful. If I grow that and I like how it smokes - hey, great, that saves paying silly money (£7.00 a packet, £5.00 of which is TAX) ... and a lesson I learned a long time ago - not spending money, is the same as earning money.

Of course MG will grow big fat healthy looking plants, go ahead and use that shit. Luckily I grow my own now... I had forgotten how bad weed can get when you dont know where it comes from. thanks for the reminder.

...it may be.....as ive grown with many MG products and myself or friends have never said a thing, i cant taste a difference and ive grown literally thousands of plants with the stuff....evan mirical bloom...it was all good....i feel the difference between the nitrogen made from cow piss and the other stuff makes little dif...i will prob get bashed for that but in my 30 years of growing awsome product i have noticed little difference ...hope it helps..

We disagree. I am not denying that urea is a very popular and successful plant N source. but for weed, what I've said still applies.

I don't and didn't flush; I consider it a superstitious practice. However I don't feed ammoniac or urea nitrogen to them, either. cn

Yea, but do you think you can go down to the local walmart and pick up some MG weed nutes? Most likely you will have to order that shit online or go to a hydro store. If I'm going to go through all that trouble I'm not getting MG.

NO DOUBT,,, funny when ppl use a cheap fert and thier crop fucks up its the ferts fault...but if they use expensive cartoon nutes and screw it up its some other thing...like the dudes who invest 2k on led lights and then argue every reason why it wasnt the lights that caused thier shitty crop......so twisted..lol...but if they were cheap lights its the lights fault.............at some point its the growers fault....especially if he bought led and thought he was gonna get hps results for 90 watts .....fukkin joke!!!...no in my opinion MG can hold its own .....the rest is up to the experience of the grower....

The best pot is grown organically without the use of chemicals, there is a reason why your coca cola is so cheap.

good point about monsantos...ive read lots about the evil in that lot...not to mention the destruction of once viable crop lands and toxic genetic hybrids......but to a plant nitrogen is nitrogen..it doesnt care of were it comes from..its the same chemical ..weather from piss or chelated organic source.....um... like piss...so if all nitrogen is the same (as nitrogen is nitrogen..it makes no matter..)....im sick of getting ripped at the hydro shop...we need bigger players in the game ..it will ease the corporate stuffyness as to this subject...again KUDOS TO MG FOR TAKING THIS STEP!

I dont mean to be hard on you, but how can you say kudos to MG...(especially after talking about the evil in that lot) bro if you look into growing in organic supersoil, you will never have to go to a hydro store again unless you are feeling fancy. nitrogen might be nitrogen ( I would have to do more research... ) but nitrogen absorbed with the helps of microbe and bacteria in a healthy living soil beats the chemical shit... again no science to back what I am saying only common sense imo...

Grown in the ground? Impossible to flush. We all know that sun grown weed tastes like shit...

I sometimes have to flush a good half dozen times tbh. Often takes that many attempts, even after smashing it with a toilet brush.

I've never had issues with MG burning any plants. You wanna see burnt plants use ffocean. Also that shit is four times as expensive.
